My wife and I just purchased from Crews Subaru, and we couldn't be happier with the experience, from the first visit at the dealership through the purchase two weeks later. Cory was an exceptional salesman, although he seemed like anything but a salesman. In fact, that is one thing that made the experience so nice - he simply listened (a rare trait!) and asked occasional questions to help understand what we were after. There was no sensation of being pushed or rushed whatsoever. Cory is known as "The Subaru Nerd" and we found that moniker appropriate. All of the many questions we had about the vehicle - its performance, standard features, options, and so on - were thoroughly answered.
We were also impressed with the friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness of Jim from finance. Imagine being impressed with an auto finance guy. I've dealt with a few, and "impressed" is not a word I would use for some of the ones in my experience, but this was different.
Without a doubt, I would not hesitate to recommend Crews Subaru, and Cory in particular, to anyone in the market!

Alisha Gatlin, in the Crew's Subaru, Service Department is probably one of the best communicators in approaching and understanding the customer's overall service issues with their Subaru and Alisha always handles every one of my wife's and I's issues with our Subaru with impeccable flawlessness from start to finish. She's a great asset to Crew's Subaru in North Charleston. Kyle

Update: we picked up our car today. I’m pleased with how smoothly everything went. Based on that as well as the level of communication while we waited for the car, I would recommend Crews Subaru.
We ordered a car and were told it would come in about a week. The car arrived at the dealership and was sold before we were told it was there. Totally unacceptable! If I could go anywhere where else locally to buy a Subaru I would. The one good thing is the salesman we worked with. Chuck H. was very professional.

They had my WRX for about 7 months before they told me they couldn't work on it because it was to modified. It only had a cold air intake

Chris was amazing! I came in and asked for an honest out the door price and he delivered. No pushing finance or trade in price, nothing. Chris brought back the offer and then we discussed specifics on the trade in and all that. Chris was super nice on negotiating prices and made me feel no stress at all throughout the entire time. Once getting to the paperwork, staff were not pushy at all on the optional warranties and we left very satisfied.
Best car buying experience by far!

They told me since I did not have an appointment, I would not be able to get my car till the end of the day. I was waiting and waiting and calling them several times, they kept telling me someone would reach out to me. I called them back before they closed, they told me the service team already left for the day an hour ago. What a disappointment especially when never said anything about my car staying over night or I would have taken my car somewhere else instead of wasting time waiting without a car a whole day.

My wife purchased a new 2018 Outback here, and like the loyal customer she is, has always had her vehicle maintained here. To include the first set of new tires, oil changes and tire rotations.
Several months ago, on the multipoint inspection they allegedly do every service, she was advised that she needed new tires and that they were unable to rotate her tires due to this Summerville control. She decided not to get new tires at that time. Next service on the inspection they said her tires were in great condition. When she told the service advisor, they apologized and her service was free that time. The next service, still no mention of her tires needing to be changed. That was July 13th. These are her tires today. My question is how are tires needing to be changed one day and the next several appointments nothing is mentioned about them during a tire rotation service. My wife loves her Subaru but this is unacceptable from the service department.

Brought my brand new Subaru in for a simple oil change and left with my AC making a very loud noise it didn’t before. I expressed my concerns to the dealership without a resolution and am very disappointed in the service I received. How a brand new car leaves an oil change appointment with a problem it never had before is lost on me. The customer service is essentially non existent. Oh, and the “express service” is a minimum of 1.5 hours.

I love my Subaru and buying experience was great. Service has been a challenge. Crews is not currently accepting appointments and suggested I use “express” lane for oil change and tire rotation. One and 1/2 hour wait time. I should add that making an appointment didn’t seem to make any difference. I have waited over two hours for an oil change.

My husband and I had such a good experience at Crews Subaru! I was absolutely dreading car shopping and was literally sick about it! From our sales consultant Dan Holuba to our finance guy Jim Gerow everything was no pressure, friendly, and EASY. Not to mention both were extremely knowledgeable! We got exactly what we didn't know we wanted in a price point we were comfortable with! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a car and undecided...can't go wrong with a Subaru!

Just want to share what a pleasant experience it was to purchase my 2024 Outback at Crews Subaru. Cory was very thorough in addressing my concerns and went the extra mile. My test drive was a memorable one! The turbo engine is definitely the one to get! My orientation to all the technology was thorough and the follow-up contact was an added touch of their professionalism. Overall a great dealership. Everyone I had contact with was pleasant & welcoming (Cory, Kevin, Pam, Justin & Brian). This dealership is invested in making a customer for life. Check them out when shopping for a car.

Dealer rep was very polite and not pushy. When I asked a question, he answered and still was not pushy. They took care of all the paperwork for the DMV, especially complicated since my parent car was up for renewal. They always send friendly reminders of service needed. I strongly recommend Crews Subaru.

Flawless purchase experiences. Trey Norwood in sales is absolutely outstanding. No high pressure. I have purchased two Subarus with his help in the past. My most recent purchase was in late 2018 on a 2019 Forester which has been a great car. Very fair trade in value and discount off sticker price. Service department manager Jason and his staff are knowledgeable, polite, and capable. I really like the quick oil change/tire rotation/multi-point inspection that you don't need an appointment for and usually takes less than an hour. I see on Google reviews that at many local Charleston auto dealers you need an appointment just for an oil change and even then customers often sit waiting for several hours for work to be completed. Folks in parts department have always been helpful, and parts arrive quickly. Pam and Josh in accounting office handled paperwork expeditiously. I can enthusiastically recommend this dealership as well as Subaru vehicles. I have owned 5 Subarus since 1998 and I doubt I will ever buy another brand as my Subarus have been so comfortable and reliable. Plus I have come to know these folks at this dealership like family and I don't think I would have the same level of comfort going to another dealer.

Had a great sales experience with Chris M at Subaru! I couldn’t recommend him enough ?
It was my first time of buying a car and fell in love with the first one I saw. He was very informative, kind, and really made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole buying process.
Also had a lovely experience with Pam B in Finance.
Overall I would recommend a stop at Crews Subaru if you’re in the market for a new car!

I bought my 2023 Outback Wilderness from Crews Subaru. Since buying it I have had problems with it. The rear passenger door wouldn’t open it took months to fix it. I was driving and part of the dash falls in my lap. Worst of all it had an identity problem. The stupid thing hopped to a stopped like a rabbit would hop. While the service department did finally fix the door and dash, they said they did not have a fix for the hopping problem but Subaru was aware of it and working on finding one. Not safe! Final straw with them I made an appointment for them to look at the hopping problem again and to change the oil and rotate the tires. I was told they were cancelling my service appointment since I have already been told there is not a fix and I could go to the express lane for the oil change and rotation. Austin I do appreciate the service you provided and for at least helping me in the express lane. Thank you! You are the only one there that I am happy with. For an oil change tire rotation and filter change I was charged $258. Wow, what a shock! That was with a coupon. $126 of it was for labor. The same day we took our F250 for the same service to Summerville Ford. We paid $100. I was so upset by the same answer of we are aware of your “hopping” problem but we don’t know how to fix it and being treated as if I was just another female that doesn’t know anything about cars that when we picked up our truck I said goodbye to my Subaru. I truly pray that no one gets hurt in that wilderness outback. You all might pride yourself on a safety award but mine was far from safe! Maybe the Ford mechanic can fix the problem that you could not I told them about it. Now I am getting the run around with your payables department for my warranty refund. Who ever heard of needing a letter from your bank proving Ford paid off your loan first before you get your money back. NFCU said it was a first for them also. An affidavit should have been the only thing you needed. So I have to wait on you all once again until I get a letter but I will play the game until I get my refund. Feed up with all of Crews Subaru!
