“Amazing stories and adventures with club members. If you have a model train that still works. Come by and fill out their member application so you get a chance to use your train on their model railroad track. I will come back always.”

1447 Folly Rd, Charleston“The absolute best animal rescue. I've been supporting Pet Helpers for over a decade, and it's always the best experience. I adopted my now 13 year old cat from here as a kitten and visit often with my daughter to socialize the kitties in need of homes. We absolutely LOVE how they care for their animals and truly do their best to give them a home-like atmosphere. The staff and volunteers are always so kind. You can tell everyone truly loves the animals.
Most recently I needed to rehome my mom's senior dogs as she moved into hospice care and then passed, and the experience was top notch. Not only did they find a wonderful home for them as a bonded pair, but they had the best medical and social care along the way. In what was such a hard time for our family, we knew my mom's dogs were in the best hands.
Pet Helpers will always have our love and support. We can't thank them enough!”

81 Gadsden St, Charleston“We are so extremely grateful that we were able to stay at the RMH for a few nights, while our little girl had a procedure done at MUSC Children's Hospital. The house was really clean with many games and a playground for our kids. The staff was really friendly and the volunteers providing meals are absolutely amazing.”
“If you want to get a nice souvenir for someone and support the lovely city of Charleston, this is the place to do it! I bought a Brackish bracelet for my wife here and she liked how unique it was. You can't get something like this anywhere else. The bracelet I chose was exclusively made for Preservation Society of Charleston. If I'm ever back here, I'll probably have to pick up one of the awesome Brackish bowties or other fun item here.”
“I am 80 years old and I toured Neighborhood House with Sister Agatha who taught me at Cathedral Grammar School on Queen St. I saw a poor infant sleeping in the top drawer of a chest The family could not afford anything for the infant.Since that time I have given money and clothes to help the poor. Neighborhood House serves the poor and does so in a humble fashion.”
“I trust my Lord thy son of my creator.
I know I was guided. without God I would've chose
My own path. I can't wait to see God's purpose
Trust only in him & his undying love for us,
God always finds his way to a willing heart.”
“Be careful who you choose to partner with Habitat in terms of moving and donating your furniture. I was misled by someone at a Habitat ReStore into thinking i had to pay quite a bit for furniture removal. Around $300. Another person later on told me this was not the case. As it was, I hired the company that the original Habitat person suggested. ReSupply. ReSupply charged me a reservation fee and then $434 to remove 5 pieces of furniture and donate it to Habitat for Humanity. The mover used stairs, which cost more than using the elevator because it took longer. I asked for a partial refund from ReSupply, even $50 would have helped. They said no, basically, "We dont care if you give us a bad review." Just be sure you do not use ReSupply if you donate things to Habitat. There are plenty of other movers/donators.”
“I am so thankful for them helping me. Everyone involved was extremely helpful with the whole process : making an appointment, turning in documents. They were able to assist with my light bill (dominion energy) within 2 weeks after my appointment and getting approval.”
“I loved everything about coming to this Fisher House we were treated SO well by every staff member from the time of check in to the time of check out. Even the guest, who many were going through so much, were equally pleasant to speak with. The rooms were so clean and fresh smelling, everything was just top quality. The staff were quick to help with any questions. My daughter and I loved our stay here!
A special thank you to Ms. Charity who was so thoughtful of us by offering us a visit to the aquarium- something my daughter has so badly wanted to do with me, and the very thoughtful gifts at the end of our stay from the local church donations, this memory will have a lasting impact on us, thank you for taking us in and thank you for all who donate to this place it is truly worth giving to.”
