Charleston Marriott offers a mixed experience for guests, highlighted by both positives and negatives. The hotel features a relaxed atmosphere, with a popular downstairs bar that provides a cool retreat from the heat of the day, making it a great spot for gatherings. Guests appreciate the flexible indoor-outdoor layout, especially for groups, although some have noted occasional delays in service during busy times. The accommodations, while initially comfortable and clean, have received criticism for the overall condition. Many rooms reportedly display signs of wear, with a few guests mentioning unpleasant odors of mold and humidity. Cleaning services have been inconsistent, as some rooms were missed entirely. Staff interactions have varied; while some team members, like Cheryle and Jenny, were praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, others were described as indifferent or even snappy. Dining options at the hotel have mixed reviews, with some guests finding the food decent but pricey. The bar offers a selection of drinks, but visitors should be prepared for high prices. The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to nearby attractions and the option for bike rentals. Overall, while the Charleston Marriott has potential, it may require some updates and improvements to meet guest expectations fully.
Ananias Lopez kept my room clean each day I stayed here and made it feel like home. Thank you! Keep up the great work Ananias. 👏🏾

The absolute BEST croissant can be found at this location…Daily Grind(?) and Room Service, if they’re available. I think they’re baked on-site not sure doesn’t matter I ate 4 of them.

Stayed here 5 stars very affordable. i always stay at two specific hotels. When I'm in charleston on business. Highly recommend going to Blum Coffee and Wine Bar in downtown as I went to work from that cafe while on business in Charlestown and it was just amazing . This Marriott had a great location. 5 stars
