Melissa did my hair. I just moved here from Long Island and had a horrible experience at the first salon I tried. Well this SALON IS AMAZING DOWN TO EVERY DETAIL. Melissa listened and took her time and treated me so amazing! She’s extremely talented.Can’t wait to go back!

I tried out this salon a few weeks ago. Melissa was super nice. However, the haircut I received was horrible. It did not even remotely resemble the photo I showed her. The cut was uneven and significantly shorter than I had requested. Not a good experience at all.

This was my first time at Charleston Hair Studio and I will be back! Melissa took her time making sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it. It’s perfectly blended and super soft. Just happened to be in the area and had a "free" day so decided to get my hair cut. I found this salon on Yelp and decided to run with it. I called and made an appointment with Melissa and it was the best decision I could have made! The salon is precisely what you would expect (and more) for Charleston. It's adorable and neat as a pin. I have long and extremely thick hair so it's really a job to manage it. Melissa washed cut and blew out my hair and the result was terrific. To top it off, she braided it to help a little with the sweltering heat & humidity the Charleston area is famous for. She took her time and kept checking to make sure it would turn out exactly as I requested. She did not leave me waiting in her chair to begin and never left to answer the phone or do anything else as I've experienced at other salons. Even though I was a complete stranger, she was so kind, warm and genuinely intent on making me happy, I felt like I had been a client for the last ten years by the time I walked out. I really don't think you could ask for any more from the experience I had especially considering it started as a random choice. There were two other ladies cutting hair (Only 3 chairs that I saw) so it's a small salon but all three chairs were full. I can only speak for Melissa and honestly could not recommend her or the salon any higher. I am not a big "reviewer" but Melissa and the salon deserve this because it's clear they both work overtime to make sure their customers are happy (which is rare these days). My only complaint is that I do not live closer but I will make time to return when I can!

I had a new member of the team Allie cut and color my hair. She did an amazing job and I would definitely go back. I received tons of compliments. Cute, cozy place and I love how personable all of the stylists were. Good conversation and many laughs. I found Teresa at Charleston Hair Studio Shortly after moving to the area in 2018, and what great luck it was!!! I have very fine hair and finding someone who understands how to cut and color it to give it volume has been a challenge in the past. Teresa is so knowledgeable and from the first visit I knew I had found “my stylist”. The salon is also super cute and it’s a friendly, enjoyable environment! My favorite time of year is around the Christmas season, Teresa always decorates the salon so cute and different every year. Just proves she is an artist and has that “eye” for design. Highly recommend not only Teresa but all of the ladies at the shop!Services: Hairstyling
