Looks like this lemonade stand finally got shut down! No cars on the lot and the website is down also. I do not recommend anyone buy from this dealer, Jim. My car lasted for about a year, I finally gave up and bought a new one. Zero communication skills and you can never reach him. "I would feel safe with my teenage daughter driving this car." What a load. This guy will take your money and run, which is probably why they are out of business now. Read other reviews on here if you need to.

Stay far, far away from this place. I had a horrible experience and would never trust them with my money.

This place is a horrible joke!!!! I paid 7,000 cash for a used car. never got the title, tags, or registration even though I paid for it. Jim is a huge pos that will lie to you to make a sale!! It should be a crime to defraud the public!! It will take many months for you to process the proper paperwork with the dmv, even though you paid Jim to do it!!

Where is the communication Jim? I've tried and tried to communicate with you but you refuse. You just take people's money and run! I need the tax tag and title that I paid you for! Why do you refuse to communicate or help?

Complete customer service package: expertise, pricing, and overall experience. We purchased our first Subaru from Jim, but it will certainly NOT be our last purchase from Charleston Auto Sales. I will continue to highly recommend and will be back again.

Rating 5 starts because of excellent communication. He went out of his way to send additional pictures and even FaceTimed me as I am an out of state customer. He even helped me get quotes for shipping the vehicle. He will go out of his way to help you!

Jim is an ethical and honest owner who stands behind his cars and his word. I've bought two cars from him now, and both were exactly as advertised. He worked with me on an issue that cropped up after the sale and had his mechanic fix the problem.

Back in mid December I saw a Forester on the website . I wanted to come and take a look at it because I wanted to buy it for my wife for Christmas . So I called Jim and let him know what I was doing and that I lived 100 miles away . We talked about the car and Was going to go to my bank. Went to my bank and they needed a buyers invoice on the car . I called Jim and he had it faxed to the bank within 10 minutes . After I got the bank set up , I called Jim to set up a time the next day and let him know I had a time limit to get back to my house before my wife gets home . That way it would stay a surprise for Christmas.

I bought 2 Subarus from this owner (Jim) at the end of 2019. Both had issues immediately. Owner was difficult to get in touch with as he is a one man operation and states that it is his business practice to not communicate by phone and only use text message. Please see other reviews that confirm this.

I bought 2 Subarus from this dealership at the end of 2019. Both had issues immediately. Owner was difficult to get in touch with as he is a one man operation and states that it is his business practice to not communicate by phone and only use text message. Please see other reviews that confirm this. When I bought the cars, I cranked one up and said this vehicle sounds very loud. The owner of the dealership said it was because the engine was starting from cold. He said if there were any problems to take it to a repair center called Suby Docs. Well I took it to Suby Docs and they said it has a cracked exhaust manifold which is causing the noise. They asked me "have you ever noticed this car is very loud when it starts". I said yes. I have been texting the owner of the dealership for over a week now with my car sitting idle at Suby Docs. The owner claims that the cars are sold "as is" and refuses to pay. This is not the way I treat customers at my business. I hope this is not the way that the owner of Charleston Auto Sales treats all customers. Please do not support this business. I am confident you will get better after-sales service from a dealership that cares more about their customers.

I purchased a car from Charleston Auto this week. Everyone there is helpful, considerate, and easy going. The car is in great condition and I was even able to have a third party inspect it before the sale closed. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and would happily come back for a car in the future.

They sell you Subarus. They basically change the head gaskets on all the four cylinder Subarus and clean them up a little bit and put them out for sale. They probably have about a dozen cars for sale and a few that are getting ready to be put on the lot. I bought my Subaru Outback from here and they promised me a manual for my Outback and they just ignored my phone calls and never came through. My car is leaking oil and they didn't say anything about that. They do have a good selection of Subarus at good prices just make sure that you get the car checked out first. Also, and this is very important, the place is located on Ashley River road or Hwy 61 North. This is a very very busy road that is only two lanes. There is nowhere that you can test drive the vehicle and go over 60 miles an hour unless you go on 526 but you will have to ask them if you can take the car out for 30 minutes which I would highly recommend as well as getting it checked out by a local mechanic or auto shop. Make sure the car isn't from up north where there's lots of ice and potholes and make sure that it's not been in water like being parked in a hurricane. they're a strictly used car dealership that only sells Subarus. Go online and check them out first. The owner's nice but they're all nice when they're trying to sell you a vehicle and make some money. Oh that's another important thing... This can be good or bad but prices cannot be changed. The price you pay is what is listed on the vehicle. My Outback was $2,750 below Blue book value but you really want to see the black book value. Either way, I've got a good deal on my LL Bean, limited edition Outback even if it's dripping a tiny bit of oil.I would say that all or most of his Subarus are priced for a quick sell. He wants to get them in the shop and out on the lot as fast as possible. They only have one mechanic there and he's a young kid. Not saying that he's not as good as an older mechanic but he's the only guy there. The dealership did put new $40,000 tires on my Subaru Outback and the vehicle was very clean as it should be at a dealership whether it's big or small, new or used vehicles!

Unique business. Jim purchases wholesale Subarus (mostly....), repairs and details them. Keeps his costs down and passes on the savings, at least in part.... Great place if you know cars, or have a shop you trust to check out what you're considering.

tried to follow up several times after the sale for important documentation to receive tag, and took forever to reach anyone and get what I needed... followed back up recently for sales tax documentation. again no response or attempts at communication
