In an age where malls all over America are failing, this mall is surprisingly always full, stores are pretty well diversified, and it's very centrally accessible for a large population of the north charleston area. That being said the mall feels very dark and doesn't seem to have been renovated since the 90s or early 2000s and I don't think the stores are actually thriving. Parking lots and the darker corridor corners where some shops have been closed down even feel dangerous.

On my nightly runs to check stores for pallets. Usually ones I've been given permission to get pallets from. We drove through the mall about 2 am. However, while my other half stopped to check some pallets and locate the store in which we'd be inquiring about them to. A goldish silver Pontiac sped up and swerved in front of our vehicle. A gentleman with long dreads stepped out and asked "what are yall doin?" My other half responds "just looking at pallets." He then asks where the ones wed already collected came from. We let him know we hadn't collected any from the mall. Told us we couldn't take anything from there and told us to leave. But around that time was when my nostrils filled with the smell of gods most sought after flower. Good old gonja. So I stopped him and asked him what he was smoking. He said "I cant smoke rn I'm at work". Yet his eyes were extra low and I could smell it from about 15 feet away while sitting in my truck. I don't dislike anyone who smoke or judge. Its the fact he almost hit the front of my truck and was extra rude while barely able to see me through his eyelids. Didn't catch his name and wish my interaction with had gone better.

This poor mall has a very empty feel and has a bit of an identity crisis (except the Target it always has people) but the rest of the mall is not very vibrant

Went to Storm Eye. Excellent service loved staff and Doctor's. Then went over to Japanese to get teriyaki chicken, best in Charleston. Best staff. You do not have to spend a lot to get good food.

Panhandlers were posted outside of Target and the Food Court entrance. Be cautious when going later in the evening

Sadly, the mall has become barren. Only a small handful of shops still open and running with dozens of vacant stores.

Tumble weeds blew through- about 15 or so retailers remain in the mall only visited for Oxford perfume & Jewelry, Dillard's, Belk & Bath & Body works
