“This was my first experience with Thrifty and I'm thrilled. I was in a pinch after my flight was cancelled, needed to drive back to Florida to evacuate due the pending Hurricane (so a bit stressed) and the wonderful agent at the desk was amazing. She was so friendly, efficient and quickly got me all settled with a great car and I was on the road in no time. The car was clean, great condition - couldn't ask for more. “From the moment I arrived I was greeted and eye contact was made. The entire front desk staff was friendly with bright smiles on their faces! I am big on being greeted and eye contact being made no matter the establishment I enter. Manners take you far in life! Marshall Webb was my salesman and he was wonderful. He made sure to engage with me and not treat me as just a transaction. During the process we conversed about my plans and the conversation took off from there. He had me extra excited to get on the road. On my return back we started our convo where we left off and he even gave me some info on upcoming concerts that will be around. He is a major asset to this Enterprise team. He would be a fine manager one day. Next time I come for a rental hopefully he will be in the management position. “Made my reservation via AAA, and choose the “Managers” special-so it could have been anything-did not matter, as far as I was concerned!
Arrived in Charleston made our way to the rental car area - had the best person helping us at the counter. She noted it was her Friday and was just happy to have had a good week.
She pulled up my reservation-looked at me & asked “How about a Jeep?” Ok I said - only to find out it was a Jeep Willy’s - insert happy DANCE!
440 miles later, I was sad to turn the vehicle in.

“Daniel was super cool and hooked us up. We initially made a reservation with the call center who was unfortunately booking cars that were not driveable. We went to the Mount Pleasant location but was told they were unable to help us and to call around. We went to this location in Charleston and Daniel was not letting us go without at least confirming where we could pick up a car. He ended up being able to squeeze a car out for us anyway. Stellar customer service even if we would have left without a car. Thanks Daniel you're awesome!”

“I booked a rental truck with this location before I saw the reviews and was a little nervous about the experience I might have but I had absolutely no issues getting my rental. The lady at the desk was nice and worked quickly. I can see why many people leave low ratings just for the fact the "reservation" is not actually guaranteed, but that is the fault of the company and it sets the service personnel up for failure. My main issue with this specific location is it difficult to find. It is located inside the Citadel Mall but there is no signage outside to tell you where to go, I just went in the closest entrance to where I saw a bunch of Budget trucks parked and found it that way. They could definitely make it easier to find. I was also concerned that there is no official review of the truck's condition once it is in your possession. Personnel did not review it with me and there is no online portal to post pictures of the condition you received it in, which is an unnecessary liability for the customer, they could blame damage you for damage you did not cause.”

“I'll start off by saying I read the reviews prior to booking and was skeptical. I decided to risk it and book a car on July 27 for one week and everything turned out great except the truck that I had booked online wasn't available but that wasn't issue with me as I just need a car. I made the reservation 2 days prior and arrived 30 min early to get the car. I had reserved a Toyota Tacoma but they gave me a Ford Edge which I loved and was comfy clean etc. I wasn't charged extra but to find this out I had to call Avis customer service as the rep at the location didn't know. Again no issue. They put $200 hold which I should receive 3-5 days after. I would definitely book again here if I need to.”

“Newer lady that was working when I picked up my car was great! Also the guy that was cleaning the cars and getting them ready couldn't have been more friendly and polite. This location always picks up the bag for when the Citadell Mall isn't able to get me a car even though I made a reservation. Although looking at other reviews apparently that happens often here as well. There's one lady who works at both locations who is just rude and unhelpful and that's who I believe most people have the unpleasant pleasure of dealing with however the front desk person I recently dealt with was great and so was the experience!”

“Left my prescription glasses in the rental and they called me within a few hours and offered to ship them back to me. I was so relieved to get them back the next day. They went above and beyond. So thankful for the great customer service. I will definitely use them again.”
