Liz was an amazing tour guide. This was my wife and I first visit to Charleston and we did this to our directly after our arrival. We learned so much about the city of Charleston and it really set us off well for an enjoyable weekend. Highly recommend taking a tour with Liz.

My wife and I were walking around the store looking at books. We had been here before for a ghost tour. Three employees began talking about a church that emailed them about some books and the group began talking negatively about the church and said they should hit delete. Next one female employee asked a male employee if they did military discounts, she said she did not know at the time when a customer had asked. The male employee gave a snarky reply of “I don’t” and began making more comments. I understand everyone in entitled to their opinions and businesses are free to do business with who they please and should have the right to refuse service to whoever, however these employees were crass, unprofessional, and rude. They should not have these conversations when customers are around and I will never spend another dime on a book or a tour there.

Fabulous author event Tuesday night April 2nd. I saw this event online and decided I needed to visit my son on James Island! I drove in from Atlanta and I'm so glad I did. I had a wonderful time seeing this precious store for the first time and meeting the owner and her courteous staff. The author read from his new book "Swamp Kings" and then took questions which was the perfect combination. He is a joy and his book is fantastic! If you haven't yet visited this store, you're missing out on a lovely experience. Go in and buy this book today!

we did the ghost tour with Jenna & it was incredible! She was such a charismatic & informative tour guide. Her knowledge of the history of Charleston & ghost stories made the tour fun and it was really engaging. The graveyard at the end was super spooky & a great end to an awesome tour. can’t recommend this tour enough!!

A very quaint and well stocked independent bookstore on the lower portion of King. A nice collection of titles of various topics from Sci-Fi/Fantasy to History and Politics with a strong section of local dynamics…history, food, culture, etc… Easy to browse through with a helpful and friendly staff. Support you local bookshop whenever you can. Enjoy!

We had the BEST service in this bookstore. Great selection but what made it more special was the extended conversation we had with the staff about libraries. Worth a stop in!

Cute local bookshop to pick up. Either for a gift or a read for the airport.
