I got the best pork chops I've ever had from this place. They have told of great meat and meals ready to cook. They have tons of seasonings. You can walk in here and spend whatever you want and gift it to any guy and they'll love it.

I absolutely love this place! It is a small butcher shop, but I have never gone there and not gotten exactly what I needed. Every time I need help deciding on a type of meat to use for a certain dish or an amount I might need for a certain number of people they always know exactly what to say. Last night I made some teriyaki beef and broccoli and bbq pork tenderloin and pineapple with sauce and meat they recommended and it was a huge hit! It is always a little more expensive to go to a butcher shop the quality is much better and the experience makes it so worth it! I also saw they had crockpot kits with pot roast, potatoes, onions, and seasoning all ready to go and I will definitely be stopping by for one of those and some of their other ready made dishes soon!

Terrible! Told the butcher I wanted two bone on ribeye steaks. Told him it was for a special birthday dinner for my wife. I'm smiling, proud of myself. This is a gift, we don't eat like this often. He gives me a bored look, cuts two steaks from a whole ribeye, wrapps them in butcher paper. I open the paper later that afternoon and with is this? My heart sunk. I have two steaks that look nothing alike. One almost center cut ribeye, with the bone but attached is a huge 1/4 pound glob of fat. The second steak is best used for dog food! It has no bone on it, is shaped funny , and thinner than the first one. This cut is clearly the end piece off the whole ribeye. Most butchers throw this piece out or turn it into ground chuck. And it appears that he hid it underneath the center cut piece when he wrapped it, so I think he knew full well what he was doing when he did it. Beware! Service in this place must depend on the butchers mood on the day you visit. He ruined my planned dinner for my wife's birthday! I will never go there again!
Your answer is a total lie. I didn't know of or ask for your supposed "birthday special", nor was I expecting or offerd one. That tiny fact is irrelevent here. You are just trying to cause confusion with that statement. I was there at 10am on Saturday morning. Check your cameras. I work across the street from your West Ashley Shop. Such a shame since you came highly recommended by my coworkers.

Will never go back!!!Purchased breakfast sausages at this location Easter weekend and again yesterday and on both occasions when I unwrapped the meat it was bad. So bad I had to burn candles to get the rotten meat smell out of my home. How are they not able to smell bad meat in their store? Never again!!

There was a miscommunication on the meat I was sold and they quickly fixed it. Such nice people! I’ll be shopping here locally for my meats from now on!
