I'm new to James Island and SC.. Moved from Asheville NC where kava bars are numerous. I was thrilled to find Avalon because I miss having my kratom and kava teas available (prefer that to buying powder and brewing my own).. so this place is amazing for fresh beverages, and the dude working there was very helpful, friendly, and guess what.. the prices are VERY reasonable compared to Asheville... I'll be a regular now.. looks like a chill place to sit and hang out for a bit too..

I live in Florida and was surprised to see that they have a kava bar in SC. I haven’t tried the kava but kratom is great, a good price and the first one is free! Also really attentive customer service, something that’s becoming a rarity in Florida. Keep it up guys!

I'm an avid Kratom and Kave drinker, I also go own a Kava bar. I truly enjoyed the environment the atmosphere and their drinks. It's definitely becoming to come a neighborhood staple, and the whole staff there was very friendly and open about the products and what they were serving. Top-notch young people walk right up to me and introduced themselves and ask how they could be of service. Sorry but the only pictures I took I took of their floor because it was very beautiful.

Employees are super friendly and helpful, however last visit I bought a new cartridge that turned out to be defective. Came back next day to see about exchanging, never saw a sign about a policy, and was informed that once someone leaves after a purchase they are unable to do anything. The employee said, “that’s why we highly encourage people to try it out before you leave” but that was the first time I had heard that. Policy does not coincide with the friendly nature.

I highly recommend this shop. Great selection. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have a non-alcoholic bar to chill and enjoy kava cocktails too!
