Rooms was extremely disappointing at $600/night the room had no windows and zero ventilation. Location is exceptional. Staff for wine and cheese and breakfast were terrific.

Cool historic hotel no doubt, but the bathroom had mildew/mold on the shower liner. Front desk is pretty flippant but support staff, ie valet, cleaning people were super nice and friendly. Overall a cool historic place located in the middle of historic Charleston.

Southern hospitality at its best! This boutique hotel is perfect for those looking for a unique stay without the bland feel of major chains.Andrew Pickney pulls no stops when it comes to being hospitable. They may not have a spa, pool, or gym but they have a full spread daily hot breakfast and a wine & cheese (plus) daily happy hour all complimentary to your stay. Coming from a place where being friendly or even cordial to strangers is dead, staff was friendly and accommodating. Ms. Barbara hosting the wine & cheese socials was exceptional. Despite being here on business, she made my stay feel like visiting family. The room was exactly what I needed with comfort and luxury. The bot text communications were not intrusive and appreciated. Centrally located to many must-see sites, I was able to walk to so many spots on my hit list and felt safe doing it alone. Wifi included, fridge in-room too.The Andrew Pickney Inn is one of a kind!Safety: Went on a solo late night food mission and walked to several restaurants before finding a spot and felt safe!Walkability: Charleston open market is a block away, museums and historical sites within 5-10 min walk, and the waterfront park only a short jaunt away. Nearby walkable Harris Teeter for grocery needs!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. The hotel was very well maintained, and our room was great. Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. They had a daily wine and cheese service at 4pm, which was a nice touch. We'd definitely stay there again.

Nice place, great location, near market area and bay. Older, quaint, renovated building. Easy walk to most parts of the city. No frills, clean with good valet parking. Included breakfast - good breakfast sandwiches, sweet rolls, quiches, cut fruit, cereals, juice, coffee and tea. Wine and cheese in the late afternoon. Stayed in St. Phillip Suite, nice comfortable room, above office lobby.Rooms: Clean and comfortable. Renovated with older renovated furniture.Nearby activities: Marketplace, bay, shops, restaurants, cruise port, park and piers.Walkability: Easy walk to the Battery, historic houses, King Street and Meeting Street.Food & drinks: 1 block from Hanks Seafood, 2 blocks from Henry's Bar, 2-4 blocks other hotel and well known southern restaurants (Magnolias) 4 block walk to Ruru's Tacos - great tacos and margaritas, other noted restaurants along Meeting Street.

I was so pleased and surprised at how beautiful and well-appointed this Inn was while traveling to visit College of Charleston. Perfect location with easy location for walking to the college, restaurants, etc. Our room was perfect, clean, and well stocked with amenities - I loved it. The breakfast in the solarium had great offerings and was so nicely done. I am sorry I was not around for the wine and cheese in the evening!I truly hope to return to this beautiful little Inn!

The staff were so kind and accommodating that we were left wanting nothing more. With its downtown location, we walked nearly everywhere we wanted to go after grabbing a quick continental breakfast on the 4th floor. I would highly recommend that you stay here on your next trip to Charleston, SC.

We decided to have a family staycation and be tourists in our own city. I booked a few nights at this hotel and loved it. It's a perfect location as it's just around the corner from the market and sits within walking distance to King and East Bay. Interestingly, the hotel is separated by Pinckney Street. So you may have to cross the street after check-in to get to your room. Breakfast each morning was lovely and delicious. We also enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese at 4. Overall, it was a great experience and worth spending Charleston prices for a hotel during the wedding season.

Location was amazing! We walked everywhere. Rooms were nice. There are some rooms that don’t have windows. We didn’t mind since we don’t spend time in the hotel itself. The breakfasts and happy hours were so nice! The solarium was beautiful. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn. We loved the location-within walking distance to the Market and river. Everyone we came in contact with at the Inn were friendly and accommodating. We loved the afternoon happy hour and the breakfast choices. We will definitely return to the Andrew Pinckney Inn.

Walkability: Easy walk to the waterfront, about a 12~15 walk to King Street. We walked everywhere and never felt unsafe!Food & drinks: Do NOT sleep on the complimentary breakfast. We are not breakfast eaters usually, thought we would just check it out (for coffee) and Lord have mercy . . . Best decision we made the whole trip. I am still dreaming of the pastries ? but it was all so good, the quiches, the potatoes, gosh wishing I was back!!

We had the most lovely time here! I was a bit overwhelmed when looking for a hotel because there were so many options. We definitely picked a winner! The room was a comfortable size and had a bathtub/shower combo. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast served. There were hot items and breads and pastries. Every evening there was a wine and cheese reception hosted for all the guests. Shout out to Barbara and Henriette who hosted the wine events, it was so much fun! Thank you to Gabriel who made sure we had an incredible stay. Southern hospitality at its finest. The location was in the center of town and walkable to everything. The price was very competitive. We stated out loud 5x a day how much we loved the hotel and were so lucky to have stumbled upon it. One suggestion - I think some of the rooms do not have windows (interior rooms). Just double check to make sure you aren’t booking one of these if you do not want to be windowless - I do think these provided cheaper room options though. We are excited to see the staff again and head to Charleston in the near future. Thank you again for making our stay truly incredible!Walkability: Right between East Bay and Meeting Street. One block from the Charleston City Market. A minute walk from the free shuttle 212 (I think).Food & drinks: Free daily hot breakfast - really deliciousFree happy hourSunday tea too!
