What a wonderful home away from home! It's a beautiful place with such great staff. We won't ever forget our time there and the friends we made. I am so thankful for the Charleston Hope Lodge!

I volunteered with this Hope Lodge for 5 months from August 2023 to January 2024 (unfortunately had to end my volunteer time due to moving out of state). This Hope Lodge has an absolutely incredible staff that truly cares about each person walking through their door. I always left the hope lodge with a smiling face and full heart.

I could not have gone through the post -stem cell transplant procedure without the dedication of the team at Hope Lodge in Charleston in December 2021-February 14,2022. They made sure that I was comfortable, had loving care for each patient, went beyond what most people would do. I consider them as family, not just friends. Thankful for each and every one.

A piece of Heaven for anyone having cancer treatments in Charleston.Stayed here Multiple times!I stayed the first time in May 2022 for just one night. I was about to undergo an extremely complex surgical procedure the following day. It was great to have such a peaceful and welcoming place to stay.I was extremely anxious about my surgery and I was able to walk around Old Charleston that evening and see some of the beauty of the city. It also tired me out so I was able to sleep well. IT was nice to be able to chat with the on-duty staff member at 430am as I was readying my self for my procedure. She helped me take my mind off what was coming. MUSC Public Safety was nice enough to ferry me and my bags to the front door of the hospital to save me the need of walking. My six week stay while having radiation therapy and other cancer treatments in Aug/Sept 2022 was wonderful. It was a block and a half walk from Hollings where I was having my treatments. This made it so easy on me. I had radiation treatments 5 years before in my home area. I had to drive one hour each way, usually through heavy traffic. By the time I would get home I was exhausted. Being so close to my treatment location made the process stressless on me. The staff was always kind and friendly. They were ready to help in any way possible and made my stay heavenly!! I love these folks!!! And the community groups and other organizations which came and provided different meals for the residents of Hope Lodge were fantastic. I was not able to taste much, nor consume very much due to the nature of my treatments, but what I did have was delicious. So and huge thanks goes out to these people.I had an overnight stay in Dec 2022 as well. It was like coming home after being away for a bit. I have also stopped by to say hello a few times when I've had appointments at MUSC. They are my Charleston Family!Loved the amenities and the staff! The staff members are the absolute best!!!

This is the most wonderful place for any and all cancer patients. It is located directly across the street for those having cancer treatments and need lodging. Honestly the best gift anyone can receive. I put the Hope Lodge on Google maps because it is known as the Hope Lodge to many. It is also known as the American Cancer Society but it is difficult when you tell a loved one "I am staying at the Hope Lodge " and then they say that they cannot find it on Google maps because it is know as something else. I hope this helps many others as it will help my loved ones and friends.

I stayed here in 2011 when I was undergoing radiation treatments. It was so nice to stay in a place that is dedicated to the care of cancer patients. It was clean and peaceful and it was wonderful to have church groups come in and cook us meals.
