They shoved my package into my mailbox instead of placing it on my front porch causing it to break. It was a 7" vinyl record that I had been waiting on for two weeks. I wish they would be more careful.

We live on Revista Dr. ,Central SC....we not only received mail for our house but also for 2 other houses and on top of that the carrier jammed 2 packages into our mailbox while I was trying to get my shoes on to meet them and retrieve my packages. Then the neighbors on the opposite side of the street came here trying to deliver mail that wasn't theirs. I tried to call the Central office to discuss the situation but after numerous calls in which there was no answer I finally went online. Not happy ? and not the first time we have had to deal with this situation.

They typically fix mistakes quickly when they can, but if possible, send your packages/letters requiring signatures through another mailing service. They have never come to our door for letters requiring signatures. They sometimes leave an accurate redelivery notice in the mailbox, but I've also been left a redelivery notice inside an ad booklet with no date & the wrong USPS address. When I eventually found it and followed the instructions, the other USPS office said someone left the wrong notice and recommended I contact Central USPS - who had already returned it to sender.

You know, I hate leaving negative reviews. However, this post office consistently misdelivers my packages, or marks them as "delivered in mailbox" and then three days later they still are not there, and then it turns out they actually gave them to my apartment's leasing office. My apartment complex explicitly tells residents that they will not accept packages, and will return them to sender. When I call them to ask about it all, they are never willing to do anything beyond "we asked the carrier and he/she said he/she put the package in the mailbox, so it isn't our problem". My mailbox is locked, my roommates haven't seen it, and there was no parcel locker key in our box. So no, the carrier did not actually put it in the mailbox.

Never open when you need them. Lunch time is when many people would like to use post office services.
