Blythewood Animal Hospital is a great place to take your animal. My cat is not very social but they were very gentle with her. It was a great visit. I will definitely keep bringing my baby to this practice. They are the great.

^update^ it’s a shame you mentioned the timeline when your vets would be there bc I was there at 11 am.Came in crying after my puppy got hit by a car. This animal hospital was much closer than CVET but when I was there I got told by the young man “I’m sorry we’re not accepting new clients” you’ll need to go to CVETs. Mind you this is a baby 6lb puppy time is important.

Our daughter lives near them her young poodle snuck out gate and got hit by car Hannah instantly got her and carried to this"hospital" to be turned away as she was crying knowing time is of the essence. A true vet is suppose to love animals but apparently this one just doesn't care

I love this place took my wonderful late Booboo dog there years ago for a lg lump that appeared on his chest .. the Greenville vet he’s been seeing assumed it was cancer and at his age didn’t want to operate.. Poor boo-boo had licked it raw and I couldn’t imagine just leaving it on him.. went to Frazier hospital and the holistic female vet here took him right in checked the growth and it wasn’t cancer at all.. just something organic. She did his vitals labs the same day and he was healthy so did surgery a day or two later.. he healed and went on to enjoy life a few more years b4 he passed.. he had hip pain and I called this dr again and she recommended cosaquin supplement which we found helped him a lot until nothing more would help and we finally at 15 yrs had to put our lil Heinz 57 shelter adopted retriever mix to sleep..I have nothing but praises for this place and their loving care for animals and their humans… ❤️❤️❤️

I'm sorry but I can be silent no more. My son added a review about our two dogs being boarded for a week and our beautiful 12 year old pitbull got a kidney infection and died a month later. She didnt just die of kidney disease but the evasive spread of cancer. What was so bad that after 3 visits of almost $1000 and double antibiotics, had one more appointment where I ended up waiting outside for over 15 minutes. I was initially waiting for a room 15 minutes before my appointment. I brought them in the foyer since they said a room was being cleaned. More and more dogs started coming in and since she was so sick I asked that I either get a room or wait outside. So we waited outside thinking it would only be another 5 minutes. Now 30 minutes total waiting time, I put my dog back in the car and called the office. I was very upset and had been yelling over the high air conditioning. Anyway, I ended up leaving. So I called two more times the following week. Left message and no return call. I called again the following week, left a message. So I used another phone and they answered it. I spoke with Taylor, the manager which she didn't offer any explanation. I wanted an appointment with Dr Roof. Still to this day they have abruptly cut me off and no contact with any of them. I emailed to get my dogs records and they were sent to me. After bringing at least 6 different pets to their clinic after 15 years they would treat us like that. Please DO NOT board your dogs there. They take too many animals and don't have the staff to care for them adequately. Even the front staff is overloaded with the workload. When I picked my dogs up they had not eaten hardly any of the dry food I brought and I got the unopened box of treats back. They didn't let her use the blanket I brought for her. They were both very dirty and both walked out with heads low - no energy. I called to complain and spoke to Taylor the following Monday. She said she'd make sure the next time. There will be no next time!Like Julie, when I had my pitbull in for treatment, Dr Roof was very quick to allude that I was at fault for her situation. If my dog had a kidney situation why didn't she or Dr Branson alert me before then in which she was seen by Dr. Branson 5 weeks prior. No conversation was had about it.DO NOT TRUST THIS CLINIC.

Neglected my dogs while boarding them for 6 days. Both of my dogs were just fine and healthy before boarding them, and after one week, one of my dogs got a kidney infection, we did everything we could to help. A month later she passed away, she couldn't even get up and wasn't even that old, I don't know how this place has "good" reviews. I would never recommend bringing your dogs here

We had an extremely horrible experience bringing our dog here. Our dog has been experiencing allergies and skin issues throughout this past season. Dr. Roof was very nice and thorough with explaining his issues but had made a comment about our dog not being neutered. The first time, understandable because we were new clients there but we came for follow ups a couple more times and during each visit, she would make comments saying "I can't stand looking at those things, we need to get you fixed." She has said things to make you feel like a terrible pet owner, does not respect YOUR decisions. The comments that this doctor has made are prime examples of why many people are afraid of taking their dog to the vet, because of being judged and shamed.I would warn owners who have an intact dog to not bring their pets here because they will make really rude comments about it and direct any issues to the fact that they are intact..Also, they will schedule the appointments for you without consulting with you which dates/times work best and if you do not ask for an invoice, you won't even know an appointment was scheduled...

We had a good experience, even though the circumstances were not good for being there. We had to put our dog down. The staff accommodated us in every way they could. After he had passed over the Rambo bridge, the staff gave my wife and I all the time we needed alone in the room with him. No one rushed us or made us feel like we needed to hurry out. The veteran explained everything about the process very well. The cost was very reasonable also. Overall a good experience on a vary bad day.

Our many furbabies have been patients for over 24 years and we trust Dr. Branson and Dr. Roof completely when it comes to the care of our dogs. They are so compassionate and kind and have always given our furbabies excellent holistic and conventional treatment. We highly recommend Blythewood Hospital's Veterinary staff!

Thankfully I was referred to Blythewood Animal Hospital by several friends and received outstanding veterinary services for my dog who has back injury (IVDD); acupuncture was particularly beneficial and staff provided exceptional care. My dachshund has made a remarkable recovery. Thank you!
