worked with Rob Whiddon and John Ventre and an unnamed mechanic. They sold me a used 4runner that had a major rear differential leak that they covered up. This leak was about a $2500 repair that had to be done about 30 days after purchasing the vehicle. I spent hours in the dealership speaking with John, speaking with mechanics through John, and even going onto the repair shop floor to speak to a mechanic in person who told me the fluid I was concerned about was silicone spray used to detail plastic. Not fluid from the vehicle itself. I have spoken to multiple mechanics who felt confident telling me there is no way a trained mechanic would or could mistake differential fluid for silicone spray. But thats what stokes toyota claims happened. One of their mechanics accidentally mistook differential fluid for silicone spray and did not notice that the rear differential was leaking profusely enough to cause brake problems that I complained about on the test drive and profusely enough to completely destroy the rear brake pads and rotors. Rob whiddon was the employee I was dealing with about this concern after the purchase, and not only did Rob lie to me, he lied on a report he used as a response to my BBB complaint. He lied about the actual problem that was reported, he lied and said I had confirmed with a mechanic that it was silicone spray, he lied about the reports from the extended warranty company, and he lied about the compensation request. All in writing to the BBB. If an employee of any company would stoop to this level of dishonesty and deceit in covering up a major mechanical issue that could have caused physical harm to the consumer I can only imagine what else goes on at Stokes Toyota. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Rob Whiddon, John Ventre and Stokes Toyota.

Service does not do their job well. Dropped my car off for a transmission on June 7th. They left the windows down for 3 days, one of which it poured down rain, of course it all got inside my vehicle. They misdiagnosed the issue and said it had something to do with the turbo. Almost 3 months later and several calls to the service department they diagnosed again and saw it was indeed the transmission. They got it done in a week, upon getting my vehicle back, there was mold everywhere. After alerting them of the issue, they did an ozone treatment and said it fixed the mold issue. I got back the car a couple days later with mold still in the vehicle. The service manager pressured me to take the vehicle with mold still in there, which I disagreed and told him i will do a test for mold, which came back positive. I have an 18 month old daughter and they put my family at risk and still won’t solve the issue.

Hands down the best dealership in the area because of the excellent customer service. Ryan "Lassy" was amazingly helpful in trading in our old car to find the right kind of vehicle for our needs. I have never felt upsold or manipulated at Stokes- they only hire quality people. Glenn made the financing process painless while having some good chats along the way. Will only buy from Stokes in the future.

The car buying experience was pleasant, and relatively quick.
The salesman Gus was professional throughout the deal.
The vehicle was delivered flawless. Also, the manager, Michael explained all my options for additional service plans and helped me to choose one that fitted my needs.
