Just wanted to share my experience with Oxford Cleaners.. my husband took my wedding dress in to be cleaned and preserved. When the date came to be picked up my husband called and it wasn't ready. Ok cool, two weeks late he calls and they put him on "hold" but can still hear everything and the lady goes "it's that man again asking about that stupid wedding dress". Rude but he doesn't say anything and they said with boxes delayed it's still not ready. He calls one more time a week & half later and it's still not ready. Fast forward to this past Monday we are driving by and drop in to see if it's ready. They said it is and go to grab it, he respectfully asks why they didn't call to let him know. The owner comes up and starts raising her voice telling him that they don't call people when items are ready. He followed up by asking her but when I did call you guys got annoyed and when an item is past due I feel like that should be followed with a phone call to let the costumer know when it is ready. She starts to yell at him that they didn't have hangers and would give a 10% discount. After this encounter I had a really bad feeling and decided to open the box to make sure it was indeed my dress. Come to open it and it is not, it's a uniform thrown in there. I go back to the store to ask for my dress and show them that it's a military uniform thrown in there not even nicely. She starts to yell at me that again they didn't have hangers and boxes and that the box she gave me was for a wife whose husband has passed. Which I followed by explaining to her how disrespectful it was for his uniform to be boxed like that. And I asked her again for my dress, she goes to the back and brings me another box. It's another wedding dress.. not mine. I tell her and she looses it and begins clapping her hands in my face starts to say I am a mean person. I explain to her that my mom worked hard to get my that dress for my special day and I would just really like it back. She tells me she doesn't wanna hear my sob story and goes back again and finally finds it, not boxed up.. not in a bag. Just on some hangers. Hopefully whoever's uniform that is gets back to the right person.
