1 star is way too much. Had my truck towed here and I was told I needed a new transmission = $8,000. I had a shop from Columbia pick up my truck for a second opinion ( had to pay this clown $150 and he did nothing). My truck was on the lift 3 hours after being picked up and I was told the transmission lines needed to be replaced and there was no leak from the housing or transfer case. I'm paying $1,033 for the other shop to drive down, pick up my truck, order parts + labor, and save $7,000. Highly recommend avoiding this place!

Owner was very nice and helpful but he didn't service tires as I had a flat. His shop has a high rating from consumers too.

A friend and I were traveling from Alabama to Virginia after attending a school. His C/V Axle went out on his car while we were going north on I-95 about 9 o’clock at night. Thinking we would be stranded for several days, the shop being backed up, was able to get the part and replace it for us in several hours having us back on the road. From management to mechanics, beyond excellent customer service the entire time. Although there was no waiting area, the manager offered many times to accommodate. I would recommend this place to anyone who I know is in that area for travels in need of assistance any day. If there was a 10 star option My Tech would get it.

Thank you John and My Tech staff.I was looking around for a mechanic I could trust and wouldn’t take advantage! (sorry , but some do) My best friend recommended I go to John at My Tech Automotive. I stopped in, explained to him the car I was bringing in had sat for very close to seven years. It was in an accident and then fixed by my insurance company and then I decided to park it and just get a new car. My daughter now 18 years old, and I decided to give the car to her, but she had to pay to bring it up to par after sitting for almost 7 years.I told John to overlook the car completely and do what needed to be done. He could have told me it needed new everything, but instead he was honest and fixed the things that needed to be fixed. I got the car back with an alignment done, new brake pads, barrings , windshield wiper blades, new spark plugs, new air filter, and cabin filter among a few other things. Overall the car was in a little better shape than I thought it was gonna be.John did not take advantage of me and charge me an arm and a leg. He was honest and called me to update me. It definitely helped give me a peace of mind before I allow my daughter to drive around in this vehicle.He even recommended a place to get tires, and also shared a few things about a good gas station and gas stations to stay away from because there might be water in the gas. Just a good guy and I made an appointment to take my husband’s truck there in the next couple weeks. Excited to find a mechanic that I can trust, that’s honest, and reasonable in pricing. I will recommend my tech auto to everyone.
