Wonderful book store with a knowledgable proprietor. I have browsed the outside tables when he is not open (talk about small town charm & trust) so I was delighted to return to browse the entire shop. There are some great local books -- I have the Beaufort guide by Bill Reynolds & Davis Folsom which is so helpful for touring the area. This stop I bought The Pat Conroy Cookbook as I love everything he has written. The shop owner is quite familiar with Pat. 5 Stars!

Super cute bookstore! Definitely a standout if you're looking for older texts and historical pieces. I found some 1850's-1860's old schoolbooks that were super cool and for a great price! Definitely recommend checking it out!

Mc Intosh Book Shoppe on Bay Street in Beaufort is a cool book store that has a good selection of new and used books for excellent values. It is fun to shop here and discover a cool book that you did not know existed. This is a good place to shop for anyone on your gift list that likes books. The staff here is very friendly and welcoming to let you shop and browse until you are ready. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here.

Quaint bookstore right in the heart of downtown Beaufort filled with books old and new. One of the only spots to pick up novels written by local authors, and they also have a large section on books that take place in the Lowcountry. They have tons of original first editions of classics for purchase - all for a very fair price. I purchased 6 books and two postcards for $27; and the clerk gave me a few bookmarks too complimentary. You must stop in here if you are a book work like me.

There is such a great selection of new and old, and the prices are the best I have seen for used books. Including the rare ones. Definitely worth checking this place out, and the owner is super friendly.
