Great day out on the water paddle boarding with Tim as our guide. The store is well stocked with everything you need for your outdoor water adventures. Friendly staff too. Our group crushed it! Thanks Tim, Abby, Patrick and Hobie!

It's a good thing I don't work here because I would be tempted to buy everything! They have a wide variety of kayaks, activewear, sunglasses, everything you would need for a great outdoor experience. I highly recommend.

If you're looking for a fun place to kayak, check out Higher Ground on Factory Street. We called the night before and the young lady that we spoke with was very knowledgeable. She took the time to check the wind speeds for the next day, so we wouldn't be scheduling a trip during inclement weather. Once we arrived, the ladies working were extremely friendly and they gave us ample time to check out their merchandise before our adventure started. The kayaks and paddles were in good condition. There are several different routes you can take, a 2 and a 4 mile loop were suggested to us. All the routes will take you past the downtown swing bridge. I would suggest going with the tide either going out or coming back (unless you enjoy paddling the entire time). They also sell kayaks and equipment. They told me that before I purchased a kayak or Hobie fishing kayak, that I could test them in the river. They want you to be happy with your purchase. I will definitely be supporting this business in the future.

If you’re in the market for a kayak, you must come see them! Definitely don’t want to make a decision without stopping here first. They also have a lot of gear and accessories you don’t want to miss out on.

I wanted to try a pair of Keen Sandals for women, and I found Higher Ground from the Keen website. I was not optimistic about finding what I needed. However, the girls in the store, I didn't get their names, were absolutely wonderful!! I tried on several pairs, and walked out with a pair of child's sized Keen's, because they actually fit better for my feet than the women's did!! I will recommend this store highly to anyone needing anything outdoorsy!! Thanks for the great customer service and friendly assistance!!

We swing by atleast every other month....never leave empty handed.Great selection of sunglasses, clothing ,shark watches,and all around variety of fun outdoor stuff. I finally bought the ecoxgear sound bar with party lights...AND SO GLAD I DID!!!

Just bought 2 pedal kayaks from the owner Tim. Great experience. He delivered the kayaks and spent an hour explaining their use as well as suggestions on launching from my property. One can try a big box store with cheaper brands but considering the excellent customer service and the safety of a better brand on the water I don't think it's worth it.

Amazing customer service! Wide variety of outdoor gear for everyone! We spent a good hour in there just browsing. We ended up buying a hoodie and pants and we are very happy with our purchases! Will definitely be back!
