Talk about great customer service, and the knowledge the two gentlemen that were that have. My husband and I went in there last night for a foot analysis and proper running shoes, he’s training for a half marathon and I’m a 5k girly. And it was time for some proper running shoes. I forgot the guys name but he is a retired marine and he was helpful every step of the way. We did the foot analysis and showed us our foot and described what would be beneficial for each of us. He then grabbed three different pairs and individually put each shoe on and laced it for us. We both found our perfect pair and I’d recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great pair of shoes either for running or just being in your feet.

Fairly new to the area from a large city with many options- I'm super easy to please and all about principles over personalities...but...I must mention-the sales person/owner with dark hair at this store had terrible energy. This has been the case two times, and I'm a people-person! Why has nobody else mentioned this? Any mention of caring about a specific color or knowing your correct size, not being open to larger sizes, and there's like a shut down. This is unfortunate because it's clearly a lucrative business, and I'm sad to say I would not go back, regardless of the response. You can't let that happen as a small business owner...there's no excuse for it happening twice.

I'm honestly sad writing this but I want to share my experience so hopefully the owner will learn from it. I just want to shout out the sales associate CHARLIE, what a really lovely young man. He 100% killed it my first time coming to the store a few days ago, he didn't make me feel pressured to buy and he was very lovely to work with. Found some awesome brooks and nice insoles for me and I was set to go, unfortunately the only thing I was still pondering on, was the fact that they didn't have any black or white shoes in my size for the shoes we were looking for and I wasn't made aware at the time of purchase that they could have ordered a different color. So I bought these light blue brooks, I looked past the color because they felt amazing (the color only matters because I wear bright pink scrubs and I wanted neutral colored shoes to match) After I bought the shoes from Charlie I had gone to the Exchange on base to go shopping and happened to stumble upon the same shoe but in Black AND $40 cheaper and tax free... in today's society that's a steal! I had called the store back asking for Charlie before I bought the shoes on base so I could see if they maybe had the shoes but on line for me and the guy I spoke to said no they only had the new version of the brooks I bought in black, however I had never tried that shoe on so I didn't want to risk not liking the newer version so I said okay hung up and bought the shoes on base. Today Friday 12.15.23 I went into the store and was greeted by Charlie and the owner I smiled and told Charlie he was going to hate me and he said why, I had awkwardly and very nervously explained I found a better choice for my self else where and needed to return the shoes I bought, I had still kept the insoles I bought from the store though. The owners smile quickly faded as I explained I went and bought shoes else where and he began to make a comment along the lines of "well we could have gotten you a pair of black ones, you know to support your local small business" .... Usually I would have corrected somebody immediately but I almost felt ashamed for returning something that wasn't a good fit for me anymore that I spent my hard earned money on. The entire time he was refunding me ; the owner didn't look in my direction and didn't even speak when I was trying to make small talk. Had the owner been more mindful of the fact that the customer is what matters and that I was able to find the right shoe for me whether it be from his business or not I would 100% would have bought another pair right then and there because I'm in need of workout shoes. But because of the very dry and almost demeaning way he acted towards me because I found a better shoe for me AND at a better price... I won't be coming back most likely ... and if I do decide to purchase here again it will solely be my experience with Charlie. When I had made a comment "sorry I disappointed you by returning the shoes" after no words were exchanged after I told the owner I needed to return that's when the owner responded saying "hey it just didn't work out".. but clear the demeanor was 100% different from when I met him a few days ago when I was spending close to $300 at his store, well yea of course he found time to be nice and engage in conversation with me. Thanks again Charlie , and to the owner hopefully next return you will go easy on the customer.

Staff was very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Service was excellent. I was told to take my time, so I wasn't rushed or talked into getting something just for a sale.

I am not a runner but wanted ‘big girl shoes’ for the 1st time in my life. These guys know their stuff about shoes!! They have a great selection and the store is kept nice and clean and organized. He analyzed my feet w the machine, recognized I need extra space in the toe box and pulled out many pairs for me to try. He prepared them all so it went really fast and I ultimately bought 2 pairs of Brooks. Less than a month later I got my 1st broken bones ever at 48! I broke my ankle and foot missing a stair in the dark barefoot. I thank the guy who helped me daily as I recover w my Brooks!!! They are so comfortable and supportive. My feet are very happy!

I came in today looking to buy a pair of shoes that would work for tennis and general use. There was a younger blonde gentleman helping a lady, and a 45-50 year old dark haired gentleman talking to a couple about breweries in Vermont. I stood there for 10 minutes before the associate talking about breweries asked if I needed help. I said yes please, and he came over and was very short with me. I asked him about a shoe and he gave me short answer, said something about needing a foot scan and I said okay, then he want back over to talk about more breweries. The other customers seemed embarrassed and even told the associate “I think she needs more help”. So he walked over, answered a question begrudgingly and said “I told you, you need a foot scan”. I had never objected to this, but his whole attitude and demeanor towards me for whatever reason was demoralizing. I walked out of the store and he said “is there anything else I can help you with” … I said “no thanks it doesn’t seem like you want to help me at all”. I really don’t understand what I did to make this guy so annoyed, but I won’t be coming back.
