Entirely unprofessional after driving there in the rain at dark to get the supply that we're lacking before the storm only place open once I get there even though on Google map and everything says they're open still they closed the door. Early without warning. Anyone terribly improfessional and midly just rude

Update your store hours if you’re going to lock the door for incoming customers 40 mins before closing time while other customers are still in shopping. I watched 3 customers get turned away after not getting in the store myself either

Rudest employee I’ve EVER encountered. Stopped to pick a couple things up, had to pee first. Was locked, asked if I needed a key to open. Long story short, was trying the wrong door. The employee looked at me like I was stupid, talked to me like I was stupid and sucked her teeth at me in disgust. I used the restroom and left. I decided that DG was definitely not worth spending money in. And never again in the future. Don’t know her name but she was tall, black and a bit chunky. Was here (I’m outside store reviewing this) Wednesday May 8, 2024 just a few after 9am. Y’all really need to do better with employees. She needs to be fired immediately. I feel there was discrimination due to how friendly she was with 2 black customers. Keep the employees in check, apparently you let just anyone work there. Deeply disgusted.

This store is a joke. They close whenever the employees decide they want to go home 830 Saturday night they locked the doors.

I have visited this store only a couple times, but my experiences have always been the same. The employees don't smile, are not friendly and clearly loathe their job. Today's experience was somewhat different. Opening hours are 8am-9pm seven days a week. I should up at 10:45 to find the doors locked and all lights inside turned on. In the short 3-4 min I was standing there trying to see if anyone was inside, three other customers pulled up. One actually said he had been here multiple times in the recent and either found the doors locked or one, maybe two employees "working". He had to search to find them and found them in the back room eating. No one covering. This is poor management at its best. If the owner or share holders read these reviews, they should quickly get someone to this store who can manage it properly.

This location has their stuff together! Every shelf had items perfectly lined up, labels facing front and organized! Very glad to see someone with OCD had been working the shelves. Floors were clean and mopped, refrigerator items were spot free/no spills were visible, and well lit. Ladies working that day were perceptive, friendly, and eager to help. I was able to find everything on my list for state board certification. Thank you for having a Dollar General within driving distance to Mount Pleasant, SC.

Why does it say you close at 9:00 pm and you close at 8:00 pm!!! I drove all the way here to be here, got here at 8:10 pm and y'all are not open!!! Frustrating!!!

Four times in a row in 2 weeks this store has been closed with signs up in the door saying "closed for truck." There was no truck there. If they are gonna close for no reason, because that is no reason, maybe put a HUGE sign out front so everyone isn't WASTING their time pulling into the parking lot, walking to the door and then getting mad. I watched 3 people leave today MAD as can be. Keep closing this store and loosing money. Seems smart.

Don't say you close at 9 online and then have the store closed at 8:20 with a cashier hiding so you cant see them. I drove all the way here from McLellanville. These are the same people begging for a 15 dollar minimum wage. Idiots

Jalisa is a simply AMAZING. She’s so professional and poised, patient. Her ability to multitask is unmeasurable. The store has come out with amazing things and she is very particular about her stock and the store always looks wonderful. They are at times shorthanded which leaves a lot of extra stock in the isles and she does her best manage at all. I am an avid shopper of the Dollar General and always will be as long as she is the manager. I have you have most respect for her and she is a complete asset to that store. I do believe that she needs extra help and I think if that store would expand I could do more business than it does now. She is an incredible manager and I do not know that I would shop there if she was not in charge.
