Called about a generator today 10/22/24 they stated they had 1 of the one I'm wanting but they couldn't hold it. I stated that was fine and proceeded to drive 2hrs to the store. When arriving in asked the girl at the counter if they had one in stock which she replied let me check with the manager. The manager comes out and ask for my last name which i thought was odd but I gave it. She then looks at a clipboard and tells me no they don't have one. Well why did you need my last name? My guess is she's holding it for someone but failed to give me that option. I'm not mad about them being sold out, I'm mad at the fact a "manager" can look me straight in my face and lie when asked about holding it. Why else would she need my last name. Harbor Freight is a joke I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

This is by far my new favorite place to go... not just to shop or stop by and get one or two things, but actually spend a lot of my spare time here!
Do not be deterred by low star ratings ( not for this store, but the overall Harbor Freight tools rating you might see elsewhere)... that I have seen, at least. The most common complaint is that something is cheap, but you must understand there are usually three different tiers of quality for whatever it is you're buying. Some items are super, super cheap, can be very well made, and others are well, you get what you pay for, you know!
HOWEVER...THE CHEAPLY MADE THINGS... ARE MADE FROM CHEAPER MATERIALS, hence the cheap price that goes with it! You get your money's worth out of it before it does break or wear out!
So this should not affect the rating of this store especially. And I'll tell you why
With all that said, let's move on...
The staff are all amazing, fun to talk to, and so knowledgeable about the products! Which is a feet in and of itself because there are so many products in the store!
I go here all the time and every single time I go I find something new and useful.
But the best part about it... is becoming a member of the INSIDE TRACK CLUB.. for the one-time yearly fee for only 30 bucks, you'll save that on your first purchase.
Well, just a little caveat, you start getting the discounts after your first purchase. But don't let that deter you. It pays off on your first visit, I promise! Just this year I have gotten 6 free buckets just like the ones at Lowe's, they have weekends where every day you come in and make a single purchase of any amount and get a free bucket or a tool. But remember, you have to be a member, so do it!
Not to mention all the discounts that you get on random items throughout the week, and they post coupons as well, so look out for those in your email! They really do have some competitive price and quality items here. You can fill up your garage in about a week, seriously.
I'm going to add some more to this later, but for now, just remember that the STAFF here are the main reasons that I go here in my spare time. Go talk to Randie(or Randi... sorry I forgot), Keith, Wes,... I have done without a car for 2 weeks, so I haven't been in there, and I forgot some names, lol. I love you guys and I miss you, hope to see you soon.

Staff goes above and beyond to assist customers. Called in to check on availability of certain machine, customer representative put one on hold for this Senior Citizen till I could get to the store. Most helpful
