“This place is fantastic. I left my copy of Sioux Dawn by Terry Johnston in a hotel room and had to catch a flight. I was distraught as all of the big retailers didn't have the specific copy I had. I found McDowell's Emporium through a google search (I live in California) and they had it in stock for $2!!! I was so excited I accidentally put an expired card down as payment. Instead of just declining the transaction, Judith reached out to me personally to mitigate the issue. She was polite and very helpful. It was honestly a stroke of luck, as I didn't realize that they had another book in the series in stock that I couldn't find elsewhere (looking at you amazon and B&N). I ended up ordering both. I also made sure to use the right card this time... Judith then reached out again to make sure I was aware that everything had gone through, and even gave me an estimate of when pickup and delivery would be. Tracking numbers were provided right off the bat. So excited that I found this place. I'll be telling everyone I know to skip Amazon/Barnes & Noble and order here instead. THANK YOU JUDITH!!!”

“Here is a bricks and mortar book store which has actually improved over the last several years. I used to call it Books-A-Hundred due to the over abundance of $20 coffee table books and not much else. Lately, this store tends to have more magazines (which I love to peruse) and pretty good coffee! I may or may not buy a magazine, but I always buy something when I am there. Coffee + Something + Comfortable Seating = Kinda Fun!”
