The office staff is overwhelmed and has a hard time getting things done. My outside appointments were not done timely no records forwarded and the office staff doesn;t get back to you in a timely manner. I am switching doctors as I discussed with the doctor PA and he said he was aware but not much he could do. My advice is to find a different office if you want service

The staff nor the providers know what they are doing, no one is professional. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT AGAIN INTO THIS NONSENSE CLINIC ? ? ? ?

Poor customer service (sporadic answering of the phone and sometimes rude treatment on phone/in person) and sadly, a lack of compassion/professionalism from receptionists and one of the PAs. Office/clerical issues that were almost impossible to get corrected and resulted in a 6 week delay in important referrals and care (cancer related). Cancelled appointments on their end that resulted in me being charged when I was sick on the rescheduled day. Long wait times (30 minutes plus) in the waiting room and long wait times after being taken back to a treatment room (45 minutes plus) on several occasions. Will be changing my primary care provider asap.

Good luck getting someone to answer or return a call, referrals are non existent, I take that back, they refer you to doctors out of your network. Arrived at an empty office and the receptionist still had excuses as to why they can't answer the phone. Find a different doctors office if you want care. It's a shame, because Dr. Youman is wonderful, good luck getting past the horrible receptionists though.

The doctors are pretty good but if you need to call to see about a prescription you have to leave a message and they don't call you back

There are several front desk workers who are incredibly rude. I never leave reviews but everyone in my family experienced the same disrespectful behavior over the past 3 years. Very unwilling to help and quick to take shortcuts or interrupt you mid-sentence. My father came in frantically, asphyxiating a while back and he barely convinced them give an EMERGENCY allergy shot. Don’t expect a call back, EVER. They will not get you in for weeks, and when they do rush you in and out and roll their eyes if you have questions. I had a question about a medication refill and it was evident the receptionist was not listening to a word I said and was completely unhelpful and rude. Also, Dr. Youmans has been my GP for several years and i have never seen him before in my life. Will not be returning.

I went in yesterday without an appointment due to some symptoms that had suddenly come up and were preventing me from going to work. The staff and especially the PA Megan Plunkett could tell I was scared because of what I was experiencing; and they did a wonderful job taking care of me and making me feel better and less anxious. I appreciate the caring attitude everyone showed me!

I don't typically leave reviews but after my recent experience at University Medical Associates of Aiken I feel compelled to leave one. My recent experience unfortunately aligned with some of the other recent negative reviews I read. I was disappointed with the staff from the front desk receptionist, to the nurse, to even the physician. I've honestly had better customer service experience at fast food joints, I would think a "professional" medical facility such as this place would exemplify better character. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and realize sometimes people are having a bad day but my whole experience was bad enough for me to leave this review and make the decision to most likely not return for primary care or any service at this facility. They never answer the phone and consistently fail to fax over recommendations to specialist and you have to keep trying for weeks to actually get what you need done

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this office to anyone. They do not even qualify for 1 star. I have NEVER had such poor customer service in my life. I’ve called three times to the nurses staff for medical questions and never got a call back. They make you call in and make another appointment to speak to anyone so that they can bill you. The front desk said that they would call with information pertaining to a medical issue that was very important and no call back. So when I called back again and asked to speak to the manager about the situation she was unbelievably combative and VERY rude. I guess that if the management is so bad then they’re setting the tone for the rest of the workers so it doesn’t take much to understand why they have such a low customer satisfaction rating.

HORRIBLE!!! Do not go to this practice!!The phone is not answered and you must leave messages, return calls takes days. Referrals take forever. The PA's are nice in person but they just throw meds at you and when that does not work more meds, no solutions.The office staff is hot or cold depending on who and what day it is.There are only two PA's and the doctor does not take new patients so the appointments are difficult to get. The fact that the doctor will not see someone who has been seeing his PA's without a resolution to the medical issues is not acceptable.I have never met the doctor but I believe in top down management and therefore I can only surmise that this is tolerated by the doctor/owner of the practice.The previous bad reviews are true!!!!

I have called and left messages for my records, I emailed their site asking for my records. Two months ago I told them i would not be back, because of how rude the front desk people were, I just got charged $35 for a recent visit, I stopped going there 2 months ago.The last time I was there they lost my test and sent prescriptions to the wrong drug store. I finally went in to find out what happened to my prescriptions, When I complained they told me if I didn't like it don't come back. I said okay, plus I told the nurse (Morgan) what happened and told her I would not be back and yet they took $35 out of my account for a visit I did not make.If anyone knows how you can thru to this office, please let me know, I have called for 2 months, left messages and never heard from them. When I needed a referral I asked the new doctor if they could call them, they told me no one answered, plus they never got a call back. At least they let me come in without a referral

Staff was great in person. Very professional and caring. However, since then, can't get medications refilled. Often do not get a return phone call. Been trying for 2 weeks to get meds. I'm always told "oh, yeah, we will send that over". Had same issue getting referrals. Wish their response AFTER you leave the office was as good as while you are there.
