I've only been there once, and that was on 3/19/24, but what a great experience! I saw two techs in imaging, Chelsea and Katelyn, and they couldn't have been any more helpful, kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. In fact, Katelyn outdid herself in getting a prescription snafu facilitated--something I was unable to accomplish with my primary care office (soon to be former) that doesn't answer the phone or respond to voice mails. I am so impresssed with the Carolina Heart and Vascular office just from these two techs--they were above and beyond wonderful. It will be hard for the rest of the office to live up to the high standard they have set, but I'm hopeful that they can.

I have two procedures done by Dr.Altemose. I had never had any type of surgical procedure on my heart. Ablation for AFIB & the watchman. I always could reach the nurse. Yes, it might take a day to get a response but they are busy. Both procedures were explained and questions answered. Dr. Altemose is terrific..

Dr Pennington was very knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough and professional. He and his staff put me at ease during a difficult procedure (for me) . I can't thank this great group of people who you can tell are very passionate about what they do and who they help!! Thank you so much !!!

I would give it a 0 Star if I could!! I WILL NOT give this place my business. I had an appt today that I had to wait months for. On my way there, I noticed there were two offices so I tried 10 times to call before I finally got thru to someone and they tell me that the Dr that I requested to see is no longer there!! Never called me to tell me this prior to and wouldn't even give me an appt with another dr that day as I was already on my way!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! The heart isn't something to mess around with but obviously it did not matter!!

Dr. Arthur is an amazing dr. He has a long wait to see but it is 100% worth it. He is working his hardest to figure out what is wrong.

Overbooked. Nobody answers phone or returns messages when left on their voice mail! Sad!Rushed through when and if you can get to see a doctor. Front office lots of staff but instead of helping or accommodating patients they throw hurdles up and make as difficult as possible. One wonders how they stay in business. If not cardiologists they would be out of business. You have better luck with ER or Augusta or Columbia. I would not recommend them in the least. The system they use is outdated and patients fall the many cracks so to speak. Follow up is a joke.

Sorry, I cannot recommend anyone using the physicians at this facility. I had the unfortunate experience in coming under the care of one of their staff members. I found him to be arrogant, rude and totally incompetent with treatment. Being forced to wait for for two hours in one of their obsolete and dirty examination rooms caused my temperature to boil. My wife and I were looking for a local cardiologist verses going to Charleston which we don't mind doing. How can a 'cardioligist" have an effective office visit when the only thing checked was my weight and blood pressure. No EKG???????? Then when follow up appointments where to be held but at the last moment cancelled. Well enough is enough, thankfully Medicare suggested alternatives which I am following up.

I have never been to a Doctor’s office with such a positive experience.Employees at the front, nurses, and Dr. Mills were all so kind, they listened to me, and made me feel heard and that my concerns about my health were valid.Staff seemed to know many patients very well and spoke to them as if old friends. I felt extremely comfortable here.

So far my experience here has been positive with a few minor scheduling miscommunications. The front staff has been polite and helpful each of my visits. I would recommend this practice.

My dad is in dire need of refills. The heartless nurse named Amanda told me she is refusing to write a refill on his prescription for his heart meds, knowing that he can die. She said it's not her problem and he needs to go to the ER. Her name is Amanda and she is Dr. Vogel's nurse. She is willing to let my Dad die due to being without his meds. Don't come here. They don't care about you if you don't have insurance. It's ironic that they are about cardio and heart health when they are absolutely heartless. She refused to even notify the doctor that my dad needs a refill. All they care about is money and they are willing to watch you die in front of them if you don't have any. I think since Amanda doesn't have any empathy whatsoever and she's too lazy and heartless to call in a refill, then she need not be in this profession. She was absolutely sadistic.Update: I just saw the response from the owner. I need to update that two days after I called and spoke to the heartless and sadistic nurse, Amanda, my dad had a seizure and was hospitalized at Aiken Regional. Amanda viciously refused to call in a refill on his meds. Please be advised that being abruptly ripped off meds can severely mess with brain chemistry. My dad will have to be on Keppra for the rest of his life and you can bet I will not only be calling Carolina Heart on Monday to speak with the office manager, but I will also be talking to a lawyer. I even advised Amanda that it was medical negligence and she said I can't sue her. Okay! Challenge ACCEPTED!

I became a Pt. of Dr. Janet Utz in April of 2019 & since that time I cannot imagine going to another Cardiologist. She is very pleasant, extremely thorough in all that she does, & makes you know that she truly cares for you as her Pt. For anyone looking for a Cardiologist in the Aiken area, I highly recommend Dr. Janet Utz.
