Had a discussion with a new hire out there asking why "we" [the proletariat] didn't warn them of this place. So I'll give you a in-depth warning and my experiences of working for these jokers. So worked for them about 2.5yrs, with constant FORCED weekend work [longest stretch working was something like 62days no day off, during summer] This factory IS NOT climate controlled, or even adequately ventilated/fanned. [crusted 12in fans, and 6in "AC" tube, if you're lucky to be on one of those lines] Several lines of production have been literally on fire more times than fingers on your hand in a single year [2022]. You may find yourself asking, well why does that matter? I'll explain; when these lines break they quite frequently burn hydraulic fluid, and the material inside, smoking up at least half the facility. [brings you back to previous point of inadequate ventilation] Floor supervisors are generally your enemy in this factory minus a few good ones, and I do mean few. Examples include; Outright lying, taking no responsibility, playing power tripping games, ect. Office/Upper management is even worse.... they spent the year of 22' telling us it was not hot in the plant, and denied getting fans for lines without them, not outright, just ignored. I had bought a osha approved wet-bulb to measure temps I personally experienced to try and get some "reasonable accommodations" IE shop fans [pics below of temps a oven op will experience summer time] and plenty of other examples of how toxic this company in particular is. [got osha fined once, hung the notice up like it was the particular lines fault for disrepair on the lines]
Now you may be wondering exactly how I separated from this company and I'll gladly tell you. They got yet another bootstrap boomer type [3rd or 4th "Plant manager" in my tenure there] who upon my second time ever laying eyes on the guy decided to try and single me out and lay hands on my shoulder as if I was a friend, after spending 20+ minutes ego stroking himself in a mandatory meeting after a entire night of nice 100+decibel machine malfunctions, at best. Didn't like the response he got out of me from that interaction, obvious target painted on my back afterwards.
Among other issues is that the union here and union leads are a joke, they throw your grievances in the trash instead of addressing it, regional union manager I'd only met once, who obviously came from a celebration of some type after "new" contract was agreed, bro was plastered and reeked of alcohol. Oh yeah, nearly forgot that this union is RWDSU [wrong union type, and same union as kroger.... lol]
Conclusion; Its a job, its unioned [but barely, they don't even follow their own contract, or help enforce it], you're gonna deal with tons of toxicity, varying on how much dependent on shift/supervisor/line and I promise you'll suffer during summer no matter what position you work, but obviously oven operators will suffer the most. Personally this company has made it onto my short list of DNW-EG [DO NOT WORK, EVER AGAIN] and many other more senior operators who've left and feel the same.
Note to said upper management who'll be unhappy with this review when discovered; I'll be keeping the proof of my experiences here in the ole zip archive for obvious reasons. Good luck with Gen Z's, if we can barely tolerate your toxicity, they sure wont! [And i wouldn't waste money joining the union till replaced by an actual automotive union, and PRAY your current customers don't find out your trainwreck styled running procedures. Unsafe is a understatement]
Good luck and best wishes to all regular employees! Lord knows you need it!!

If you're trying to get a job 2nd shift make sure your supervisor isn't Mandy. She fired me on my 2nd day on the job! The plant is very hot! I left on 20 minute break to get me some food and my tire pressure was low so I put air in my tired I was about 15 minutes late off my break. When I came back she fired me and said you're not allowed to leave the plant! I didn't know that. No one told me! She's a very hateful nonsocial person. And on my first day she had me waiting in the cafeteria for an hour and a half waiting on her. I knew the plant was hot! But why can't we leave to go get something to eat? I don't understand. I wasn't gonna bring gonna bring lunch because people told me that people steal food there. They don't offer no vending machines with real food in it just snacks. The work place is very heartless. I do not recommend this place for work. And on the 20 minute break on my first day I saw people leaving for there break. So they are gonna have to fire more people. Don't work here guys please

They work the heck out of us. Barely know days off like we do not have a life outside of work. Monday-Saturday really ?? Now they trying to make it Sunday where we work Sunday-Sunday ! They finn lose a good bit of workers especially to these warehouse/plant jobs. A lot of jobs hiring do to the pandemic. Now they Finn be hiring over and over AGIAN and people going to continue to quit ? that’s giving people more days off to spend with they family
