Customer service at this store is absolutely atrocious. Security guard at the entrance asked us to put backpack on the customer service desk, as frankly, it’s not allowed for customers to carry their personal belongings around the store. As I asked about the safety of such measure and who’ll be responsible in case of theft, I was met with speech in rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful manner.
If the store feels the need to introduce such measure, they should ensure that proper facilities are provided. I do not feel safe leaving my bag unattended in the middle of the store, and will not be doing it now or in the future.
Also, give your personnel a training on how to properly speak with customers.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Urban Cellar. Today, my wife and I were shopping at Save On Foods next door and decided to stop by Urban Cellar to pick up some wine. As we approached the entrance, we were rudely confronted by a staff member who demanded, “What do you have in your bag?” This is not an acceptable way to address customers.
Urban Cellar seriously needs to train their staff on how to interact politely with customers. A more appropriate approach would be to ask, “Do you have any liquids or items we should be aware of in your bags?” rather than making us feel like we were being accused of something. The tone and manner in which we were spoken to were unprofessional, rude, and arrogant.
It’s crucial for Urban Cellar to invest in HR quality and assurance to ensure that they hire and train staff who can treat customers with respect and courtesy. If this level of service continues, I can guarantee that the store’s reputation will suffer. I expect better from a business that relies on customer loyalty.

Nicer prices and options.
But the staff, especially the security team really need to start setting up boundaries on what's acceptable to ask clients.
Was denied entry because I didn't have my ID, which is understandable. Went home, picked up my ID. Returned, was able to enter but the security guard was really following me around. On my way out he requested me to remove my earbuds when I couldn't understand his question (his accent made it hard) by touching me (please don't touch a client again), and asked "Are you around? You left and returned too fast".... Boundaries buddy, boundaries.
Other than that, all good! Nice prices and options. The clerk staff was helpful too.

Went into this business today looking for a specific beverage. I couldn’t find it so I asked a worker if they had the product. She said “yes it’s over there”. I went and looked and still could not find the product. So I said that I was unable to find it. The employee said, “ I told you it’s over there”. As I was leaving without what I came for another woman said to me, didn’t you find it”? I said, no and since no one will bother to help me I’ll go somewhere else.
I will not set foot in this business ever again.

I wish Urban Cellars would include all taxes with the price you see on the product. It's a real shock when get to the till. Once I didnt have enough cash, and was so embarrassed when people in the line started giving me their loose change in order to get the line moving.The reply from Urban Cellars was that Urban was following the SLGA guidelines. They are guidelines not laws.

just went in to grab a mickey security took my backpack away from main exit doors, so they made me walk back to grab it from where they stashed it, also very just rude about it, awful customer services.... losers

Quiet, decent pricing and selection. Staff recommendations may or may not be helpful. Do not try the in house wine. Otherwise great place.

Typical liquor store, nowhere near a selection like SLGA stores always had, and massive selections of seltzers & local products. Friendly staff at least
