I visited Sephora today and found myself in a challenging situation as my phone had run out of battery, and I needed it to access Google Maps to navigate my way home. I approached a team member named MANTAJ, who introduced herself as one of the managers, and politely asked if I could charge my phone for just five minutes using an available outlet near the store entrance (which was not in use at the time).
To my disappointment, MANTAJ informed me that charging my phone was not allowed, and her response came across as dismissive and lacking in customer service. I understand that policies may exist, but the manner in which the situation was handled felt unnecessarily curt and unempathetic.
This experience left me frustrated, as I couldn't help but wonder how things might have unfolded if it had been a more serious situation requiring immediate assistance.
I value Sephora as a brand and have always appreciated the level of customer care your team typically provides. I hope this feedback helps improve future interactions and ensures that customers in need are met with a more supportive approach.

Black Friday was awfully busy. Queeny was so helpful today, with finding shade matches and recommendations for new products. Big shoutout to her and all the busy employees this holiday season, will definitely be coming back.

i had a very uncomfortable experience. I went in at a fairly busy time just to buy a lip gloss, so i was looking at the glossier section when a worker approached me asking if i needed help, i politely said no and yet she never left within 10 ft of me, as i moved around the store she would follow never taking her eyes off me, it made me very uncomfortable so i decided to check out and leave the store asap, as i was waiting in line there were two people ahead of me and two workers working the register, as i was waiting this same worker that was following me decided to open a register and just check me out. I thought this was very strange, and as im walking out the store she’s following me walking to the entrance with me. I think she maybe thought i was stealing which makes me very sad as i am a 20 year old girl who’s never stolen anything in my life. overall this worker made me super uncomfortable and nervous to go back.

Rating this 1 star because I came into the store in midtown and asked for this specific primer that I always get and both times I’ve came and they told me that it was at the other location. I never went to that location and decided to look online and there it was “online only”.

I am a long-time Sephora customer, and yesterday was my birthday. Following my daughter’s suggestion, I visited the Midtown Sephora location to inquire if I could receive a birthday gift kit. When I asked, the staff member responded instantly, without even a moment of pause, saying there was no birthday gift kit available. Her dismissive manner, without making any effort to verify, made her response feel untrustworthy.
I felt as though she treated me as someone begging for a small company-issued gift, making me feel uncomfortable and somewhat unwelcome. She suggested I should call in two days or even two weeks to check if a gift kit had arrived in-store and then come back to claim it. I was surprised by her answer and asked again, to which she responded in the same tone, saying there was no kit available. Feeling embarrassed, I decided to leave, saying I would return later.
Typically, someone driving 10 minutes to pick up a small birthday gift kit wouldn't come to the store without good reason. Additionally, as a long-time customer, I know that birthday gift kits must be claimed by the end of October. It’s only three days until the 31st, and it felt quite unreasonable for her to suggest I call back in two weeks.
In my view, Sephora should either improve staff training or address the supply chain issues affecting Saskatoon locations, as I felt let down by both the attitude of the employee and the apparent lack of birthday kits.

I had a really bad experience at this location, I asked a group of 5 employees if I could get a shade match for a tinted moisturizer and they made me feel very unwelcome and when I asked for help they did not help me. I am very disappointed in Sephora because typically Sephora is very welcoming and it was not today. There was not many people in the store and the employees were all talking with another. Very disappointed

I have spent thousands of dollars at Sephora. Today I went to the Midtown Mall to spend at least another 500.00 and the customer service was so poor and not just one but two clerks - the manager said it was because they were short staffed but there was hardly anyone in the store. I was ignored and then treated so rudely…. I literally told the manager that if they can’t treat customers well - they shouldn’t be working. I can’t help but wonder if the attitude was because I am Indigenous and Black. Stereotypes and rudeness don’t equate into a place I want to spend any more of my money. I’ve heard of anti-Blackness and anti-Indigeneity at Sephora and believe I’ve now experienced it. I won’t go back. Ever.

Best products ever! I purchased foundation, concealer, lipsticks, blush, eyeliners from them and they are super smooth and gorgeous on my face. The employees are so helpful, always they help you to find the perfect shade according to your budget. Moreover Sephora's products are so budget friendly.

Every time I come in the employees are so helpful. I had a wonderful experience when looking for a silver eyeshadow. I was showed every silver eyeshadow in the store and was able to find the perfect one. I appreciate that I am given distance and the ability to shop on my own but am offered help and can easily find someone if I want help.

Terrible customer service today, not offered any help at all. Then when I went to pay at the till, one of the employees was clearly busy doing something so I waited until she told me I could come up. As I did she was extremely rude because I guess she was ready the entire time but never verbally said anything to me. She had a very snooty and poor attitude. She definitely needs some more training in customer service which hopefully Sephora can provide for her! I will not be returning to this location, as the other one is much better.
