I dropped off my Dakota square toes on Saturday morning to see if I could have a cap put on despite there being damage already. I got them back Sunday afternoon, in time for work on Monday morning. My next boots will definitely be Red Wings. Great customer service from the girls who helped me and a job well done.

I originally went in during the heritage sale found a pair of boots. Very comfy the lady who helped me was great. When I bought the boots she assured me they had all the same warranty as boots not on sale they will treat me the same as if I bought them full price. Had a seam blow out and I went into the redwing store for a repair cause it was under 3 months and the guy first told me he couldn’t repair the boots, so I asked if there was a replacement pair I could have as per their warranty and he told me he could only take what I paid off the price of a new pair. I told him what I was assured and that I only bought them cause of the warranty and services. He said “if you wanted good service you should have paid full price” very not cool. I went to get my boots fixed for $5 at a shoe repair.. they’ve lasted the past 2 months. I was also told they don’t make those boots anymore and I looked online multiple times I’ve found them. I have looked in other redwing stores and I’ve seen them. He lied to me about what redwing sells. He lied to me about warranty policy. My latest issue is simple but still annoying. I had boots oiled and one lace was half missing. Since redwing offered free laces on work boots my sssumption was that they would see that and change out the lace. It wasn’t till I got home I found they unlaced them and put in the box I had to call and ask about it and drive back to them to get free laces. Not a big deal but still annoying. My biggest problem is with how inconsistent the warranty policy is. How the sales person lied to me about the boots and wouldn’t give me his name. Very unprofessional. I will not go to redwing for any redwing product I will go to any other location like Regina for redwing boots before Saskatoon location.

Usually I have to buy 2 pairs of boots a year, because they get trashed at work, not redwings. When I first bought my boots the folks at redwing were extremely professional and helpful. Almost a year later I realized I hadn’t brought them in to get cleaned/oiled, and when I brought them in I showed them where the stitching had ripped a bit on the tongue, they gave me a brand new pair right then and there with no receipt. Redwing customer for life, thanks!!
