The anti-Black and anti-unhoused rhetoric coming out of the owner's mouth really ruined this place for me. I was so upset by the interaction I had to step out of the store to calm down before returning inside. When I asked the owner why she felt the need to share her opinion that unhoused folks should "just get a job" or alluding to all criminals as "non-white" (yes, she really used those words) she didn't seem to understand what was wrong about what she communicated to me.After a few minutes of some back-and-forth the owner eventually apologized for offending me (really I wasn't the one that needed apologizing to). She followed this up with saying the store was "open to *all kinds* of different people" while in the same sentence warning me to avoid people who looked a certain way (non-white and unhoused).Realizing the owner would keep putting her foot in her mouth, I told her to take care of herself and implored her to think before sharing her opinions with other customers. I won't be returning here and I'd recommend others to not give this place any business.

Pleasant and knowledgable people running a local store that has been there for decades. They have good quality products and lots of selection. I compared prices for what we bought (chairs and beds) and we would have paid more at the Brick or Sleep Country. Buy local, support local.

We have bought arm chairs here twice and am again heading there again because we can always count on getting exactly what we want!! We looking at some swivel chairs last time and they seemed like there where not Moder , but they suggested to change up the fabric and we did and they look wonderful in our modern home! Great service and knowledge too! Very worth the look.

Wonderful selection and very competitive prices. Staff was friendly and helpful-not pushy. Owner only buys if made in North America, bought a chair there better quality than Leon or brick and better prices for sure. Staff and quality product will make me return in the future.

To Antonio:The more you weigh, the more coils you need in your mattress, the more coils in your mattress the more $$$ you pay for the mattress. Understand? What you mistakenly call bad manners, we call stirling customer service----something we pride ourselves on. We would not be proudly celebrating our 114th anniversary this year if we treated our customers rudely. To everyone else---please come visit western Canada's oldest furniture store and judge for yourselves. Have a nice day.

Absolutely astonished that anyone would compare this upscale,beautiful NEW furniture to kijiji. Incredible! Maybe there should be an I.Q. minimum to participate in these reviews.
