We ordered something through Canadian Tire and Flat Rate was the third party moving company that was hired to deliver our purchase.They called to say they would deliver it on Monday.We did not hear from them day of and we called to leave a voicemail to see what was happening. No response. We waited for our package all day which never arrived.They called back the next day with NO apology and said they'd deliver it that day. They also got our names wrong when they called (referred to my spouse as Phil instead of Paul) and did not seem to care. I was very upset as it would be nice to see some effort (at least get our names right).When the movers came on the Tuesday finally, the man was rude and unprofessional. When I asked that the package be moved beside the house (which was not difficult at all) the mover was reluctant to do this. He said it will be hard but I guess he could try. It wasn't hard at all. I was very dissatisfied with the whole experience. Canadian Tire will be made aware of this poor service that Flat Rate Moving has provided.Service: Moving-related packing

My husband and I recently moved from San Francisco to Sydney. While we were very happy with the international moving documentation done, we were very displeased with the dishonesty of the move crew in San Francisco.
We have strong reason to believe that the San Francisco Flatrate move crew stole from us. The day following our move we received an alert that one of our credit cards was fraudulently used. The card used had never been activated and was locked in a fireproof safe, which the movers packed. Now after unpacking, we know the fraudulent use of the card was not a coincidence as the box with our safe did not arrive in Sydney. We have reason to believe that my husband's tools were also stolen, as this box also did not arrive and we saw the move crew pack the tools.
The San Francisco move crew was also very forceful with their suggestion that we tip them 15% of the total bill by cash only. This request was hand written as an add-on to our contract, and the tip alone they were asking for would have amounted to nearly $1000 which felt inappropriate. However, since we were worried about our goods being mistreated, we ended up tipping very generously ($600 - $200 per person in case as they asked). This makes it even more disappointing that our things were stolen.
Flatrate also did nothing to remedy this situation when we reported it. They have been unresponsive ever since. I would not recommend utilizing their services for packing and moving. I will never use them again in the future.
