My friend went for an oil change here. Then a couple hours later, he came to my house because the car was over heating and there were very loud knocking noises from the engine... first thing i checked was the oil level and it was completely dry. So basically he paid for his oil to be drained...

Boat motor was not performing well (running on 3 cylinders), so I brought it to them for a tune up before going to the lake with a cabin booked for 2 nights. I asked them to do a thorough checkup to make sure it was running great for the weekend.
They replaced a coil & some plug wires. $338 dollars later I expected a great weekend at the lake.
My expectations were shattered when I took the boat out & it was still running on 3 cylinders.
It turns out that the head gasket was blown, and that was what was causing the boat to run on 3 cylinders.
With a bit of guidance from a journeyman mechanic in the cabin next to us, I was able to pull the head apart, spend 2 1/2 hours driving to and from the closest place that sold head gaskets, and get the motor up and running.
It was great to have everything working again, but I did have to waste half of our time at the lake fixing what should have been done at Dube Garage.
I called them this morning to let them know my experience. The owner apologized & offered a free winterization of my boat in the fall (which I already know how to do myself).
I was not impressed. $338 to not fix my boat & take away half of the time we booked at the lake.
What Dube Garage did give me was a loss of the fear to take on projects like this myself.
I can only recommend Dube Garage for those who want an expensive kick in the pants to take on projects themselves.
