Don't waster your time calling this place. Very rude. They pretend they cannot hear you when the rudely try to end the call abruptly. This is not a 1 person office. These are people just wanting private information.

$$$***70% INCREASE FROM 2022 - 2023***$$$Got a quote on my Home insurance of around $2600. per year a few monthsago for 2023. I went to get the coverage and the exact same insurance was now $4600. They were recently bought out by Farmers. I would avoid both companies.

Crooks. They have refused to pay off my father's life insurance to my mother for a year now. They just trade us off from person to person. When they tell us to do something, we do it. But then they start the process again. Avoid these crooks!

I have been trying for 2 and a 1/2 months to get the back pay owed to me I have had to call and fight every step of the way to try and get something done. MetLife is now holding out on me over $25 charge to get my paperwork processed and sent back to them so I can get my money. I have been unable to make any payments I have had no money. How they handle things is extremely lackluster.

Auto Insurance Met is Amazing! The agent is very professional and knowledgeable. Not only does he know insurance, but he educates you on what you may not know. Excellent work! I would recommended them to anyone.

Horrible customer service and computer support. I was paying for Metlife through work because I got a 10% discount, but I switched to another company and saved 800/year (1 car, no hx of car accidents etc...). I switched and all of a sudden I started getting text after text saying I had a bill I needed to pay and I needed to register on the metlife website to view it this was after my payments have been autopaid for 2+ years. I tried avoiding registering on website because it made no sense to register for a company I'm no longer paying, but I had no luck getting in touch with a customer service rep to find out exactly what bill I needed to pay by phone---- multiple calls to robots who said "I'm sorry, I cannot help you. Let me transfer you to someone who can." This statement was followed by a long hold time, only to be disconnected every time. So then I was forced to waste my time register on the website- only, when I finally manage to sign in, it there is nothing there- no bill, no documents, nada. Then why do I have multiple text messages saying that I owe them money?! Okay, so there is a different customer service number listed on the signed-in page, so I call it and get in touch with someone, who also says he cannot help me. SO he transfers me. Now I am on hold with a wait time greater than 30 minutes. So friggin annoying. Maybe if they didn't have shitty customer service I would have gotten over the 800 dollar rip off and not had time to leave this bad review.

what a shitty company to deal with. If you expect them to do anything for you after you pay them money, good luck.

I purchased a new car, and they quoted me one price, when I got the bill it was more. I looked for another insurance and then called the 800 # and cancelled my policy as of 8/18. One month lay they take a full monthly payment out of my account. I call the 800# for them to tell me my policy is not cancelled. Yup and they can't put the money back into my account. I asked to speak to a manger and told they are all busy someone would call back. Almost 3 hrs later I call them back as I now have an issue with my account withdrawing funds that are not available. Now I get a person who says I will cancel it right now! What do you mean now, I called in Aug and have that outgoing call still on my phone. She tells me she retros back to Aug 18th there is nothing more they can do. They will send me a check in the mail. How nice if them to give me less money than the took. And oh by the way you pay for your overdraft fee. Because we didn't document it properly in our system. Thank you for the woman I door to on the phone they were very nice and I was not so. Nothing personal just upset with a Company that large to have to deal with this.

Run away from this company! I have had to deal with them several times to cash in some life insurance policies, one to get my grandmother on Medicaid and then now for her funeral trust. This has been since June and I still haven't gotten everything worked out. I honestly don't think these people have a clue what is going on. I should not have to wait months just to get a check and get the funeral home paid! This is ridiculous! This is already a very rough time and having to go through this nonsense makes it that much worse. I never leave bad reviews but I hate seeing anyone else go through this. When it comes to billing, they're johnny on the spot. But when it comes to paying out....you can wait and jump through about a thousand hoops. I've even had easier time dealing with my local car insurance company when my windshield was smashed. I was cut a check in two freakin' days! I can't imagine what it would be like through Metlife.

Metlife is the worst insurance agency I have ever dealt with. I filed a claim and they took over one week to even acknowledge it. When I called to find out about the claim I was told the adjuster who is in charge of my claim was on a vacation. I was shocked and livid. They left me in the dark and by the time they decided to contact me my claim had not even been looked At.

Stay away!!! This company is a complete rip off! They were charging me a ridiculously expensive rates that were auto withdrawn as a payroll deduction. I've wasted so much money with them!!!!!!! When trying to cancel the policy, the hung up on me twice after waiting for over 40 minutes each time

I called to cancel my auto insurance through MetLife and the rep said they will be refunding me my amount for the upcoming month since I cancelled on that day. A month go by and I got a mail that states I owe them 19 dollars. Then they sent it to the collection the month after. Would not recommend. They were willing to destroy my credit over what they owe me.

Terrible customer service. I will be cancelling both auto and home insurance with this company.
