Saw a sign labeled “beach parking” infront of the parking lot. Pulled in to park so we could get ice cream next door at the end of our beach day. Parking lot was almost completely empty. An Old man presumably the Owner/front desk worker came outside and started yelling at us for parking there. We explained we were just getting ice cream and would be back in 5 minutes. He said and I quote “if I rent out that room I’m going to have a hard time explaining to them why they don’t have a parking spot” we just laughed and went down the street to a different ice cream shop. My point is, for a hospitality business their customer service is very much lacking. Had he kindly asked us to move to a different spot in the lot we wouldn’t have minded but he came out aggressive. Still don’t understand why there was a beach parking sign there if they don’t even let you park for ice cream. I wouldn’t stay there if it was free because of this interaction. The Place looked very poorly maintained as well. Video proof of vacancy and beach parking sign attached.

Beds are small and no dressers but great location 2 min walk to private beach!!! Perfect location for my family!!

Won’t stay here again. TV connection is horrible, the room smells musty and the sheets are Sandy before we even used them. The staff also refused to wash them which makes no sense. Why am I going to pay $275 a night for a room that won’t even accommodate to its guests a little bit?

My family came back from a nice dinner and walked on the beach. Went to wash off our feet using the their faculties and a staff member came up to us and asked “excuse me are you staying here or taking advantage of other people’s property” in which I responded we are staying here. Room 3. And he rudely walked away. Wished we stayed at a different hotel or motel. So incredibly rude. We wash off our feet to keep your rooms cleaner and that’s how you treat us............

The Ocean View Hotel is a night away worth taken, falling asleep while listening to the waves crashing, late night walk down the ri shore with your soalmate and its not possable with out the wonderful staff keeping a friendly, and safe environment, wheather with you family or your bebo this place is super duper perfecto.

I was a little worried when the room was so much cheaper than other hotels in the area but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was not fancy in any way but it was clean and less than a 2 minutes walk to their private beach. The new management is really helping bring this place up a level. You have to check in across the street front the inn at the Sandcastle Beachfront Inn and the staff and security is the same for both locations. It was great for my family and we look forward to going again soon

Great location, friendly staff/owners and a beach pass to a nice beach within a 10min walk (beach is right across the street, but you are not allowed on that beach), however we paid $275 for a Saturday night and $175 for a Sunday for what is unquestionably a $99-per-night motel room at best. Old (but not old enough for that to be a good thing) decor not renovated, no shelves to put stuff in the bathroom, cheap shower tub and plastic curtain, no hair dryer in the room, ceiling light didn't work, a fridge but no tea/coffee facilities, etc etc. Our first time in RI so maybe this is normal summer pricing? But we're from Manhattan; for an average of $250 per night including taxes, we could have stayed at the Plaza!

Came up to Misquamicut for the day, and ended up staying at the Ocean View. Staff was very friendly and my room was very clean. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay by the beach

Great place to stay! RIght across from the Beach so you can hear the waves breaking at night. Very reasonably priced & the Owner is Cool! Always a Good time?

Yeah the owner/loiterer was a bit obnoxious. Yelled at me when I pulled up. Told him my party was already here. Wow. I've renamed it Ocean P**** Bathrooms were the least desirable and had stains on the shower curtains. Really didn't mind the comfort of the rooms. It was ok to smoke outside. Didn't get too many glares. There are some permanent residents that'll give you some stares as well. I would stay again, but take it very lightly. These people live there and aren't too friendly. Even the lady who runs/owns the Hot Dog cart, wow. Holy crap! Feels like the Twilight Zone at times. Just do your own thing. It's the kind of place you want to leave something of yours behind, a sheet, a towel. You know just to help out.
