Not sure how this place stays open with the junk items and rudest staff in westerly.

Extremely unfriendly owners who are rude, prices are high and not even in the range of actual worth. If you're in the mood for an unpleasant shopping experience this is definitely the place to go.

Had a lovely chat with Lois and Bruce, they gave us plenty of great recommendations for the area and were very friendly

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Mary D's today. My in laws were excited to find a variety of antiques, lots of things that are relevant locally. I had a blast exploring the beautiful china and even my young children with welcomed with open arms, and learned a few things from the kind owners. If you want to support a special local business I highly recommend this one!

The only thing better than the nostalgic trip down memory lane that Mary D’s Antiques and Collectibles will certainly elicit, is the company of Bruce and Lois, the couple that run the store. They are such an amazing couple, with some amazing stories. (Make sure to get her to tell you about the story of ‘her mural’.)If you are in Westerly, or anywhere even remotely close, you should stop by, even if just for the friendly conversation and amazing recipes.

Mary D's is not a pleasent place. The women at the counter was so very Rude. My husband was admiring a piece of furniture which had a sliding front door. When it slid it made a small sound to which we heard,"what was the loud noise". We explained What it was and she made some nasty comment that i couldnot hear the whole thing.it was time to leave. On the way out we were told that that piece was not for sale and that she was going to follow us home and beat up on our furniture. Crazy lady beware

The two people working there were very rude to another customer who asked them a question, we decided to leave after the man snapped at the other customer. They started yelling at us for leaving and saying they were rude, as we were leaving we noticed they were both drinking beer at the front counter which probably contributed to their bad behavior.

QAnon supporter and didn’t wear a mask. Some interesting antiques, but not even worth going in. Head to somewhere down the block instead!

Undeserving of one star. Very rude woman, not worth the visit. A blemish on the town of Westerly.

I was in this shop today and was highly impressed with both the owners and the pieces that they had for sale. As an antique dealer, I have been in hundreds if not thousands of antique stores throughout the country and have a good basis of what makes a good and bad experience and Mary D's is a solid choice. Keep in mind that this is a co-op type of business which means that several dealers sell under one roof so while you'll get a great assortment of antiques to choose from, the owner can't make deals as if they were all her items. Also keep in mind that many antique stores get negative reviews from people that go in and make ridiculously low offers on items and are then offended when they're turned down. I suggest you go in with reasonable expectations and enjoy a wonderful antique shopping experience in beautiful Westerly and not pay attention to the poor reviews from people with only a few reviews under their belts and seemingly with an axe to grind. I assure you that the items are good and the owners were extremely friendly. Enjoy.

The store is often filthy. It sells overpriced junk that even a hoarder wouldn't want. The people who work there are weirdly distrustful of potential customers, which creates a hostile shopping atmosphere (do you really think anyone wants to steal a dirty plastic ashtray from the 1970s?). The owner makes unsolicited rude comments to people. Why would anyone go here? It's just poorly run. The area around here (Westerly/Mystic/Stonington) has plenty of antique stores that are owned by people who curate their collections much better, and who won't go out of their way to insult you.

rudest place on earth. lady told me to get the hell out of her store because i didn’t have my license to pay with a check. she proceeded to yell at us to get out while throwing my check at me. the husband chipped in with rude commentary. please stay away from this place, i left shaking in disgust.
