I had a wash, cut and blow dry. Friendly stylists. I had the pleasure of having Gretchen and she was absolutely amazing. She gave me exactly what I wanted and was very knowledgeable. I am going to try to continue to see her.

Greta did an incredible job on my hair. I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. Also, I am so grateful for the moral support to make such a drastic change. It was definitely for the best!

Let me just say, if you have thick and curly hair, you have to come and see Gretchen! She specializes in it and is fabulous. The salon was welcoming and clean and I was taken care of right away as a walk in. The universe aligned me with her perfectly and she completely changed my look and brought my curls back to life. She educated me throughout the entire process as well and had recommendations on products and how to take care of and maintain the curls. I love my hair. Come and see her!

I just got the worst haircut of my life at JCPenny Salon. Don't ever get your haircut there. Or at least don't have Karen cut your hair. Karen does not know how to cut hair at all. She didn't even use clippers. I never got my hair cut without the stylist using clippers. I told her I needed my haircut very short but it's still long because she only used scissors. At the end of this horrible experience, my hair is soaking wet and she asks how I like. I told her I couldn't see how it would look because it was wet. She just stood there until I reached for the hair dryer myself. Then she grabbed them out of my hand dried my hair for me. It was then I saw how terrible the cut was but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. Never again I told the receptionist I would have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. She was very nice but not helpful.

Super dissapointed. Front desk lady was super rude to start it off, had an appointment with Gretchen and it just went downhill from there. Went to get my hair lightened.. as i’ve gotten done there before OVER a year ago. Gretchen did not look approachable at all. I sat down and explained what I wanted done to my hair, she acted like she just didn’t care and tried talking me out of doing nothing to my hair because there is “no way” to do my hair yet i’ve gotten the same thing done before. Acted like she didn’t even wanna be there, or want a costumer. Don’t worry, she talked me out of it, was worried since the first time seeing her because of how unhappy she looked to have me there. Oh well, at this point glad it’s not getting done by her anymore, for sure aggravated though hope she changes her attitude, both of them! 6/3 4:30pm

Stumbled upon this store, not knowing that there was a stand alone jcpenny nearby. Walked into the store 10 minutes before closing and was just going to do a quick walk around. Women and young man at the front told us it was closing in 4 minutes to which I replied, "Don't you close at 6? It is 5:50" Neither of them responded and then one made an announcement that they were closing in 4 minutes. We walked around the store and there were 2 other parties inside at this time. The manager waited for us and pretty much escorted us out the front and locked the door right in front of us. They acted like we were lingering around and it was 10pm. Entirely not a friendly staff.

I've never been treated so bad by such a rude and discourteous staff at this location. Being lied to and being accused of wearing items and then returning them in front of other customers. Is this how @jcpenny teaches their staff to conduct business? And all over the simple return of three items. I called the corporate number but after an hr of being transferred and put on hold I got nowhere... this needs to be corrected as I've always shopped at @jcpenney but might need to make the switch to @Macys....
