The perfect beach town store! Ran in here to see if they had beach towels available, and left after buying what seemed like half the store! Absolutely a fan of Island Outfitters!

Whenever I'm at the beach, I make sure to stop in to the store to treat myself! They always have such a great selection, and every time I stop and I buy myself a new Yeti!

So the staff is nice and their selection is pretty good for the location. However prices are stupidly high compared to other stores. The big issue is their return policy. No where in their store did I see a sign for store credit only. I'm not sure if it's because of where they are located but apparently it's a company policy. I'm not a local so I don't want store credit. It's impossible to buy someone someone else a gift because what if they don't like it? What if they don't like anything in the store? It's a very frustrating policy especially since everything they sell accepts returns.. (vineyard vines, jack Rogers, sail to sable etc) so unfortunately if I see something in the store I like I will purchase directly from the company instead of buying local. Sorry Island Outfitters you just lost a loyal customer of 10 years...

Island Outfitters is definitely a place to visit whenever shopping for fun clothing and new outfits while in Watch Hill, Newport, the vineyard, and I think some other locations. They have a wide selection of vineyard vines, north face, and other fun stuff. The store is not super huge but is usually pretty packed. It's saved me money on things I'm going to buy anyway since some of the items are on sale that never go on sale online (north face stuff!). Always a friendly staff, can't wait to go back!
