Very loud gym but I liked the sauna a lot, Will probably be back for the heated pool. Building itself was pretty.

This YMCA isn’t just a place I workout at, it’s a welcoming community I look forward to visiting regularly. Staff are helpful, well informed and they always greet you with a wonderful smile. Dominic especially has a kindness that people gravitate to.It’s a busy center with the kids area filled, swimming meets; outdoor park; an indoor and outdoor basketball court, and many group classes. There’s always a knowledgeable trainers on the floor ready to assist and answer questions. The facilities are clean and well kept. It’s a very old building but well maintain. As a Y member originally from Mass whose used my Universal access in several states, my 19 y/old son and I are happy to call Kent our home.

Welcome to the YMCA, where open gymnasium actually means it’s booked. Countless times I’ve come to play basketball because the schedule says open gym and the gym gets taken over by activities that could easily be done in one of the other open rooms.Don’t come here and actually expect any of the schedules are correct.

Most the people that work here are very racist, very rude when asked questions about programs and if you are foreign or a person of color they are watching you constantly with their racist look. And the kids that watch the children in the afterschool care program are violent with the children so be careful of your children in this place also.

this place is a disaster with the people that run it, like the 1star reviews on here states, (it is impossible to reach someone) by phone, and when you do they are very rude like the person Dominic at the front desk, and some kid by the name of Brady that works in child care that abuses the kids, my kid went to play in the pen and left crying 2 minutes later. when asked why was our child cryind this kid brady replies (i might have i bit rough) BE AWARE OF CHILD ABUSE in this YMCA.

Very poor customer service, rude, RACIST towards foreigners or peopleofcolor, unprofessional. Went to leave the kids in the play house to talk to the uneducated person on the front desk ( Dominick ) and the other kid ( brady ) in the play house made my children cry and left them alone on a table. We will make sure to watch these low life RACIST scums so if child abuse is happening in this YMCA facility to have the employees leave in handcuffs followed by a lawsuit.

Really nice pool, looks clean and updated. I prefer this pool because there's more of a shallow end in each lane which is conducive to water walking and exercises. I haven't tried the fitness center yet but it looks very clean with good machines. Staff are really nice and helpful. Only thing I'd like to see change are the hours...it's very difficult to get to the lap swim times during the week because it's really only early mornings or before 4pm. That's tough for someone working full time. Same with the water aerobics classes - only two are being offered at 9 & 10 am on Tuesday's. So right now I don't feel like I can make the most of my membership, but I am hoping the facility will be open longer and have more times available that are conducive to adult work schedules. I do think this limited availability is due to Covid and being understaffed so hopefully it's only temporary. Other than that, it's a great YMCA!

Impossible to get in touch with anyone. Emailed and Called Bill McCabe several times over the course of two weeks. Got nothing. Called the front desk several times today. Nothing. They have the least helpful website on the planet that contains no actual relevant or useful information. They are offering memberships for $4 bucks because no one is coming back. One would think that they would try to have decent customer service for people THAT ARE TRYING TO GIVE THEM MONEY!!!!!!!!

They like to fire people without coming up with proper information considering the employee as well. Luckily at the time I didn’t have access to a lawyer back then.

Relatively clean facility with multiple recreational areas however staff can be rather temperamental and classes mediocre. Our interest in swim lessons prompted our visit to this YMCA; however, we were met with a rather rude, unwelcoming aquatics director who either did not answer our questions or brushed them off in a pompous manner. The aquatics classes left much to be desired -- The lessons taught relative to the skills required for progression to subsequent swim levels are out of sync and give an impression of a haphazard teaching schedule; this, combined with discrepant records on any given student's enrolled class -- computer records stating one thing, teachers apparently thinking they're teaching another thing, and enrollment staff trying to decipher the entanglement -- is more than disconcerting, especially given the importance of properly synchronizing teaching skills to the degree of risk associated with interacting amidst a water environment. Suffice to say that since our initial introduction -- and after having subsequently participated in various activities at this YMCA -- deficiencies in the aquatics program and a deceptively subtle yet ever-persistent "chip on the shoulder" demeanor by the aquatics director -- a caucasian male fellow, standing about 6 feet tall, and sometimes donning a ponytail hair style -- has prompted us to look elsewhere for a more suitable, hospitable YMCA (Sad to express that at one time this same fellow went so far as to glare at us and, of all things, twirl around a stick while we respectfully picked up some chips that we accidentally spilled on the lobby floor). What once appeared to be a large, clean, well-equipped facility eventually revealed outweighing character flaws.
