Owner is absurd. Was surfing near him at Matunuck and he yelled at a 5 year old for “dropping in on him.” Couldn’t believe that a grown man could act in such a childish manner. You could find kids more mature at the local middle school. Would never buy anything in that store

Bought a leash here, the owner was not friendly. The next week I saw him yelling at people acting like he owns the beach. Never buying anything here again

Bought 10 dollar bar of wax. Went and surfed pj and saw the owner screaming at everyone in the line up. Very disrespectful. Will never buy from here again.

First off, there are a number of surf shops in our little state, but they all offer something slightly different. At Drift you get one on-one-service from an extremely passionate, knowledgeable, and chill dude. Rob, the owner of the shop, has curated a focus on high-end performance gear including custom, top of the line boards and wetsuits.I came in to order a custom winter suit (Axxe) and Rob was awesome. From our initial phone call, to our measuring appointment, and final fitting, Rob made the process easy, stress-free, and fun. I ended up buying boots too (solite) and again, Rob was super helpful in sizing me up and explaining how to customize the fit of the boots.I went out the next day in freezing water and was toasty warm and happy as a little kid.Sidenote: when I went to get fitted for my suit, I was messing around on a surf skate out in the parking lot. Rob noticed and let me borrow a Smoothstar, just cuz he’s a cool dude. His only condition in me borrowing it is that I ride it, which I did!Bottom line, Drift is a dope shop. The owner is super cool and runs his shop with integrity and the spirit of surf. Yew!

I bought the most comfortable and warmest AXXE custom wetsuit at Drift.It was a process, but boy was it worth it. Custom measurement from Rob, while skyping with the manufacturer. Built to my body, and the easiest paddling suit I have ever owned. If you surf in the cold water you owe yourself an AXXE custom suit

Visited RI from VA to surf spots I have never surfed before on the East Coast. ended up pulling a rookie move and took a chip off the nose of my board by putting it nose first into the sand (lol never doing that again, even if it's sandy).took my surfboard into Drift and Rob was there to help and fix my small ding and got my board back ready to surf for the last couple days of my trip! Be sure to stop by Drift and give Rob a shoutout he runs and operates a solid shop!

Got a lesson with my two daughters who had never surfed before a few weeks back. Rob had them standing and riding waves within the hour - I really can’t recommend him enough. Just an all around great time for everyone

I live in New York, but saw a custom t-shirt on their Instagram story that I really liked. I reached out to see if there was a way I could get one shipped from RI to when I live and Rob was extremely helpful! I just got it today and I'm stoked to wear it. It's a high quality material and the design is just as good as it looked online. Can't wait to visit the shop in person next time I'm in RI!

We drive to Rhode Island every summer a 4 hour trip for the amazing beaches and came across Drift 3 years ago. Now every time we’re in Ri we have to visit Drift and get something. Rob is always welcoming and beyond helpful. I love the store and will continue coming in every year. Thank Rob for everything!

I needed some great gear for wedding party gifts in a pinch. The awesome selection and personalized service made it a breeze to be the hero of the wedding party. Rob was super helpful and I was able to make great gifts with personalized twists which in turn made the groom look like a wizard. I wish I surfed because this would be my go to spot. Awesome selection from lifestyle to waves be them concrete or water!

Just snagged a custom Axxe winter wetsuit from Rob @Drift. It is a game changer. I had a custom fitting with attention to every detail, included a video consultation with the manufacturer and some beers as I got measured. I just took it out for the first time, in the cold NE Atlantic and I'm never going back to another suite. It slides on like a pair of pajamas, flexes like your favorite broken in suit (minus the holes), and is warm. The only water I had inside there after a three hour session was my own sweat. Highly recommended, and totally worth the investment! Rob is the dude and he knows what it up.
