As an interracial couple planning our special day, we were hopeful that Sayles Livingston Design would bring our wedding vision to life with beautiful floral arrangements. Unfortunately, our experience with this florist fell far short of our expectations. From the outset, communication with Sayles Livingston Design proved to be a challenge. While a college friend who recommended them had a positive experience, our in-person meeting, which required us to travel out of state, was uncomfortable and unproductive. This should have been our first indication that we were not a priority despite our excitement to work with Sayles. One of the most disappointing aspects of our collaboration with Sayles Livingston Design was the lack of consistency between what was promised initially and the final price. While we acknowledge making upgrades, the discrepancy was significant, even after cutting several items from the original plan. This financial ambiguity added unnecessary stress to the planning process. On the day of the wedding, the absence of the head florist was particularly noticeable. Their expertise and attention to detail were sorely missed, resulting in multiple oversights. Most notably, my bridal bouquet lacked the promised orchids, and there were insufficient florals for the mothers of the bride and groom, an oversight that did not go unnoticed. While the flowers we did receive were undeniably beautiful, the overall execution left much to be desired. Tables that were meant to be more green-heavy were disappointingly sparse, requiring my wedding planner and her team to divert their attention from other crucial tasks to rectify the situation. We did not feel the finished product was representative of sizable investment made.In conclusion, despite the aesthetic appeal of the flowers, the numerous issues we encountered with Sayles Livingston Design make it difficult for us to recommend their services. The lack of communication, organizational challenges, and missed details significantly impacted our wedding experience. Couples seeking a reliable and attentive florist might want to explore other options to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable planning process.

Sayles Livingston was truly TOP NOTCH! From the moment we first started our wedding planning , Tracey was able to pick up on our vision for the big day and her expertise and creativity was invaluable throughout the entire process. She was such a pleasure to work with and would go the extra mile to make sure everything was PERFECT! Kathryn and the operations team did a fantastic job at executing the details and it was nothing short of perfection. I already have friends who attended our wedding that are using Sayles for their upcoming weddings as they were so impressed with the work they did. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

I had written a bad review immediately following our wedding, deleted it because I didn't want to emotionally react. After sitting on it for almost 2 years now, I want to be honest about why I am writing this.My husband and I spent several thousand dollars on a floral deposit during 2020 for an early 2021 wedding. Obviously, our wedding never happened, and we were told that there were no refunds, even though this company did nothing for us.Pretty disappointing and no sincere apologies given. They do a marvelous job with flowers, but please don't use if there is any doubt about your wedding. Obviously, we didn't know ours would get canceled, and we were given a lot of grace from every other vendor we used- DJ, photographer, venue, caterer, and hotel.

Sayles did an amazing job at our wedding in Newport RI! It was everything I could have imagined and BETTER. Great to work with, the prices match the value you get.

Recently called for some info on an event, the woman I spoke with was rude and made assumptions about what I could afford based on my home address. Just today as I parked in the large lot nearby, a horrible little man in an Audi yelled at me for parking in a spot that was supposedly marked as "no parking". It was not marked so. He rolled his eyes and sped off toward the Sayles building, kicking rocks up as he peeled away. Hopefully Groundswell swallows up this whole lot and turns this sad little business into a beautiful village outpost we all love. I'm sure it will happen sooner than later.

I had the best experience with Sayles Livingston. Working with Cara was great! I knew in general what I wanted, but I dont know anything about flowers. She made me a pinterest board and worked me with as sudden changes came up (such as a bridesmaid dropping out, more tables than expected) throughout the whole process. Flowers are hard because even though you try to plan, it greatly depends on what is available, so I didn't get my hopes up. But come the day of the wedding, I was blown away by by how gorgeous they were! It was like something out of Martha Stewart Weddings. Thank you Sayles and Cara for making my wedding gorgeous!!
