I am more and more impressed by the exemplary care given by Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital! The entire veterinary team is so compassionate, patient and personable. The expert care and genuine kindness you constantly show myself and my Rottweiler and Shepherd is so appreciated. Both of my girls love visiting all of you so much that they don’t want to leave you at the end of the appointment! If anyone is searching for a veterinary team that will treat you and your pets like precious family members , you will not find better than SVH!

The Doctors and staff have cared for our last 3 pups. Most recently we boarded our 9 month puppy. Gracie was cared for just like she was at home. We were actually afraid she’d rather stay at Sakonnet.

I've been going to Sakonnet Vet for years and love the service. The staff is welcoming and the vet and techs explain everything very clearly and thoroughly. It's very comforting to know my fur babies are in good hands! ???

Super sad to say this but after almost 6 loyal years I pulled all my pets (5 cats and a dog) out of their care. Reinhardt has seen all but one of my cats since they were kittens. Due to no fault of the veterinarian, but the front desk staff. This year specifically they have been rude, condescending and just overall miserable and unpleasant every time I’ve talked with them. My boyfriend and I have LOVED Dr. Reinhardt so much over the last 6 years, she is the best vet I’ve ever had and she’s incredibly knowledgeable. She has never missed a diagnosis and she has always helped educate us on what to do better for our pets. My pets will miss her dearly. I was between a rock and a hard place on this, but I feel like the front desk staff at a veterinary clinic should be welcoming and kind. I’m no longer comfortable even calling to make appointments anymore due to the way I’ve been treated. I hope they can make improvements because they’re causing long term clients who have never complained, and always paid the bill on time in full without question to walk away after so many years.

Very disappointed in my last visit and I will not be returning. The one and only veterinarian that they have, has been out and unavailable on multiple occasions. So when I bring my cat in for his normal blood work checkup and express some concerns that I have that he might be having these mini seizures and hoping the blood work they take will give me some answers, instead they tell me now they won’t even take his blood at all because there is no veterinarian in the office. With no vet in office they all seemed clueless on what to do. But the one thing they did tell me was to stop all my cats medication immediately, reminder this is medication that has helped him tremendously live a better life. If you can’t help my cat out in office because you’re not qualified, then you are not qualified to tell me to stop giving my animal medication that has practically saved his life. Also when Dr. Maria Reinhardt is in the office, I find her rude and condescending. She has horrible bedside manner and spoke with me like I don’t know how to care for my animal. I love my cat more than anything and he is priceless to me. However the price I won’t pay is bringing him somewhere that they just don’t seem to care. Happy to say I have found him a new vet to bring him to.

Hasnt helped my cat brought her in because shes throwing up. My cat is totally scared. I’m going out so she gets all stressed out riding in the car so this is a stressful situation for me to take her to the vet.
They insisted on shots. Didnt check her out to see if she has n obstruction. Gave her rabies shot. Ok get that. How can you tell if an animal has rabies. Vets answer oh you have to chop off their head and disect the brain. NIce!
How much will blood test and xray cost to see if this cat has an obstruction. Cant afford $800 emergency vet wants to charge. Cannot get a straight answer from this place. She really said well they can do it but you’re not willing to pay it you’re right, can’t pay it. So rude and abrupt. Cant get my cat in til september. Emergency are first come first serve she says. puts me on hold. Find a vet who has better human interaction. Wth!

Very knowledgeable, informative, and caring to both the animals & people. Everyone was very invested in helping my Daisy feel better. The doctor was very kind & helped me to understand what could be making my dog not feel well. I’m happy to say she is in the mend and doing great! A big thank you to the staff at Sakonnet.

They all make pepper feel loved ! Lynsey helps take care of her when we’re away and love how she pampers her just like she was home!! When I tell her she’s seeing the girls she gets excited and pulls us to the door when we get there. ! I could not ask for better care ! Thank you ❤️
