I need a Vet for two reasons: 1. For vaccinations and preventative medication and 2. For an emergency. When your beloved pet is sick and needs help you need a Vet to help you immediately not turn you away and tell you to go to Urgent Care or Ocean State. Unfortunately, this has happened to my family four times now. This type of treatment has forced us to leave this practice. It is disappointing because at one time they were the best around and now they are the worst.

Placing someone on hold EVERY TIME I call is no way to run a business! Meds promised but not available. An all around mess.

This place has become a joke. The quality of care has declined significantly over the last few years - my family took our dogs here for 15 years, but when both started having health issues due to old age and passed Washington County was not helpful in the slightest, often not returning calls and clearly not taking the issues seriously due to the dogs' ages. They've also made the pharmacy a total pain, only allowing customers to order through their direct pharmacy which was coming out to about $40 more per order for my dog over what I had been paying through Chewy. They're now charging $80 just to make an appointment - everything is a clear money grab despite the fact that the service has become terrible. I won't be back and will be taking my money elsewhere.

We had an appointment to put our dog down because she had cancer and she had difficulty walking the vet came out not our usual vet he grabbed my dog by her collar try dragging her out of the car almost like a bag of trash instead of waiting for the other two people with the journey to come out he tried doing it himself stressing out my dog who also had a big tumor on the belly part of her which as he dragged put pressure on it and I know made her in pain she was stressed out due to him grabbing her and then they kind of like dropped her on the gurney instead of gently putting her down then they took her in a totally different room to put a catheter in her instead of doing it in front of me in the room where she wouldn't got stressed out then after she was gone the vet takes the collar off not gently pulls it off roughly over her ears and hands it to me I'm sorry but taking her call her off was my job something that I was going to do while I was alone with her he had no compassion from the start when he was dragging her across the seat he asked me for help but first of all there was no place to put her if we got her out except on the ground she was so stressed out when they wheeled her in to put the Catherine in her that he had give her something to calm her down before she was put down a dog should not be stressed out and treated like a bag of trash I am totally disgusted with this vet he he used to own the business so that tells you who he was but I tell you right now he doesn't belong treating animals they say on their web page that they treat their animals like their own well I'd hate to see how he treats his animals because he treated mine like trash no sympathy no respect for myself my husband nor my pet so watch out when you go there this vet has no heart no compassion he's in the wrong profession time for him to retire

Terrible recent experiences at Washington/South County Veterinarian Hospital. Dr Troob (who is an owner and my vet for several years, who a few months ago put down my 15yr old Pug), he recently called me telling that if I didn't take down my negative review of my terrible experience I just had with Dr. Lopes during an appointment with my Pug puppy, that he will no longer neuter my puppy (which the day before he said he would definitely do within a week) and said he would also cut all ties from me with him and Washington/South County Veterinarian Hospital. My honest negative experience review of my experience with this vet simply said, "Dr Lopes is very cold and rude, terrible experience." I told him I won't take it down. Since it upset him that I made that public statement, he forced me to leave there and find another Vet establishment. I couldn't believe the terrible treatment!

Dr. Howard Troob is by far the WORST veterinary in the business. He does NOT care about the animals and is 100% in for it just for the money. Dr.Howard Troob preformed Veterinary malpractice on my Doberman and the result of his actions caused my dog to die at only 5 years old. He continued to prescribe Rymadal to our dog after seeing his kidney levels were 6 times the normal limit. He did not inform us of our dogs blood work, instead he told us everything looks amazing. His kidney disease level was at a 79 (normal limit is 1-39) due to his carelessness and neglect our family has to live with such emptiness in our hearts. Another DVM from Tufts Emergency In Walpole Ma informed us that she does not know ANY vet who would continue to prescribed that medication after seeing his blood work levels. Dr. Troob continued to prescribe the rymadal without performing the proper blood tests that is required for long term use of that medicine. I see all dogs (boss included) fighting to go into his vet. He is a worthless person who does not have any right in practicing veterinary medicine. All dued to his actions our babies life was cut short. I would not recommend Washington County Vet hospital to anyone. I wouldn't even give this s*** hole of vet a half a star (I had to give one star to be able to post this review) I hope all animal lovers take precaution before using this vet hospital, if you love your animal please find another vet hospital.

Gotta love these folks ! We’ve been clients of Dr.Troob for 20 years, we have had 6 Boxers to date and 5 litters since we began Stoneacre Boxers. They have been fantastic at every turn! Coco is just about ready to have a litter and wasn’t feeling well, they got us right in, followed up with a phone call the next day, had a med change and followed up again first thing in the morning. The Docs and staff are amazing !!

If you love your pet don't I repeat do not bring your pet there you'll see when you really need them and it's not going to be a lot of money for them they'll kick you to the curb. The worst place I ever encountered. All they see is money $$& very selfish behavior from the doctors to the office upfront. And they try to punish patients by letting them suffer just to teach the owner, I'll remind everyone the patients are the helpless dog that the owner counting on them to treat their love one with care. They don't care what's your situation is the doctor over there don't do anything everything is controlled by uneducated revengeful upfront office manger that's thinks they are "god" that what happened when you let uneducated person Ron a clinic that supposed to save life of animals. They give priority to their friends. Even if you have emergency . They over charge visits and they had stuff to the bill they never even did. They also avoid telling you the real charges so after you get the bill you see a lot different bill from what you agreed on. This place is not a hospital it's a all about how much money they can take from you for as little they need to do. "Doctor or hospital that behave or think like that she get the license revoked.

I'd called Washington County Vet Hospital to report that despite having seen 2 vets, my dog wasn't getting better. This Veterinarian took time out of her busy day to speak with me - as with all vets, this facility is very busy due to COVID restr4ictions. I am sending a huge thank you to Heather Lopes, DVM - she is awesome - she took the time to reassure me that my yellow lab Petey would probably get better as his vestibular disease may be self-limiting. He DID improve; wanted to highlight that the Vets at this hospital are professional and very personable - I highly recommend the facility.

Dr. Roy is an incredible doctor. He was there for me during one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life when I decided it was best to put my cat to sleep due to advanced stages of kidney failure. He was so caring and informative. Glad my kitty's last moments were with a man that genuinely cared for my animal.

The staff at Washington County Vet Hospital is simply amazing. We can not thank Dr. Troob enough for all they have done for our large dogs.
