I rented a pickup truck for moving. The original return date was for Sunday at 5pm. I contacted Uhaul to extend the rental time. I was granted another 24 hours for the truck to be returned, today, Monday evening at 5pm. I received a very rude call at 12pm today asking where the truck was. This call did put me at an inconvenience for the purposes of the truck rental. I was not problematic when receiving the call; I know I was charged for the extra time, I know I was not in the wrong; if I was not granted extra time, why was I charged extra? I tried to explain on the call what happened and how I called for the extended rental time, but the customer service representatives at the North Smithfield RI location were very unprofessional and rude. I was told “it is not their problem” … if it was not their problem, why did I receive a phone call in the first place looking for the truck? I immediately brought the truck back as they requested and I requested a refund of the extra charge. I will not be paying for the extra time that I was charged for the truck because I did not even get to use the truck for the extra time. I need a refund of that extra money because I was jipped of my extra time. This is all I requested for the store employees to do but they denied me the refund and told me I was wrong I know what I was told on the phone call. They have recordings and nobody seems to care. Unprofessional as a entire business.

If you need to pick up large items get a van. I have used them for camping, moving and shopping.

Absolutely impeccable service
