House tours were $8. The people volunteering are very nice! They do reenactments & weddings. The owner goes out of his way, the best he can to please every person. He is very kind and funny. This place is well kept up and historic history is well preserved and showing for people to see in great condition. I highly recommend this place for an event or for photographers to have photo sessions on. Lots of nice spots to take pictures. Photographers will be added to their vendor list if you'd like for future events. There are bridges, old stone walls, a pond, all sorts of beautiful trees and barn to take lovely pictures by. Plus the house has such charm for great photos. Big grounds for large events, with plenty of room for parking. About 23 acres I was told. I highly recommend this place!

I went to a beautiful outdoor wedding there today. It was so hot out but the tent we were under was so nice..They had outdoor air conditioners and it was so bearable..The food was excellent. I would definitely go to another function there..I was very happy with everything..

This past weekend there was a timeline event at the museum. Rev war, Civil war to the Great war. Lots of people to talk with and learn something new.

Today was pirate fest at this beautiful museum. The kids had a blast. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable about the homes history. It had reinactor pirates , a treasure hunt, crafts, hats, games , tattoos and on the house tour they were cooking fish. Fresh strawberries and bread were also served. Remarkable five stars.

Pretty place but the rudeness I was treated with made it an ugly visit. Won't be returning.
