This place rules, and I probably shouldn't go back unsupervised.
The staff are friendly and took the time to show me around and talk through options. They were helpful and made some excellent suggestions. It's obvious that they sincerely care about not just the customer or moving product, but the plants themselves.
Somehow, on top of all that, I left with advice on how to address gardening cramps.

My wife and I were looking for a fountain for our backyard. we went to Hilltop, everyone was super nice, ultra patient, and friendly. They really wanted to help us out. We ended up buying 5 fountains. The gentleman even loaded them into our truck for us. Culdn't ask for better service. Excellent fountains the quality is superb.

This place is amazing super organized. The owner is super impressionable. Great guy, and a hard worker. He’s extremely knowledgeable and hard-working and all his materials are impeccable! And I am a mason, so I kind of know what I’m talking about. Ha ha ha

Stumbled on Hilltop on my way to other stores at the shopping center. They have one of the best selections I've seen in RI, especially for fall. Great prices and beautiful stock. Lots of discounts this time of year on perennials and evergreens.

Amazing nursery in Smithfield! The owner is incredibly kind and gave us so many great recommendations for our front yard. He also gave us lots of advice to make sure our boxwoods get the best care. Definitely will come back!

We went to Hilltop Gardens today because we were in need of advice in how to freshen our landscape! We were not disappointed!! The gentleman there helped us find a variety of shrubs and perennials that would compliment our yard! He was great! We will definitely return for more assistance soon! Thank you Hilltop Gardens!!

Top notch, OUTSTANDING nursery! Huge selection, incredibly affordable (less than Home Depot) and all the plants and flowers are super healthy! The owner passes away a few years ago and her sons are doing an awesome job carrying on her passion. Love, love, love this little gem!

I've been by there before, but I never really had a chance to check it out until today. It was cool chatting with the owner, and learning about his family. Who knew this charming little garden center has been in business for three generations? I didn't, but I do now. When he found out I love planting coleus for my shade garden, he happily showed me a few colorful varieties that caught my eye. At $2.50 per plant, that was a good deal. There are also sheds and outdoor furniture for your yard, like colorful Adirondack chairs. And let's not forget that all the plants there are healthy and thriving. Now I have four new colorful varieties of coleus in my shade garden, and they look great!

The two brothers are so helpful and knowledgeable. We've purchased our Christmas tree from them for the past two years and they've been so healthy. Don't bother going into the big box inside the crossings.
