Like many other shelters in the northeast region, I wasn't able to view dogs for adoption as a walk in. I was told to go online and fill out an Application. Why would I waste my time doing that if I meet the dog in person and it's not the right fit? You should be able to view the dogs as a walk in and then fill out an app. You'd think shelters like this one really want to find these animals a home as quickly as possible. As far write this review, another animal is euthanized because organizations/shelter really are not motivated to find theses animals homes!

There services were great towards my dog, they did an amazing job comforting him and gave us his prescriptions, overall a great place to get a pet, 100% recommended

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and they had lots of animals up for adoption. We ended up getting three guinea pigs, two of them were from the abandoned 42 from Exeter.

I adopted recently and I need to mention that the individual I worked with - Liz - was wonderfully compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. She clearly understood the animals' background and needs and explained each step of the adoption process in a clear manner. She also informed me of further steps in case I needed assistance with care afterwards. The new facilities are modern and clean and I feel the small animals are well taken care of. When I adopt again, I will definitely be returning there. Thank you for all the good work you do!

Seamless, easy, exciting experience! And our little kitty has a clean bill of health, is super sweet, chipped and spayed. They went above and beyond in so many ways. They included a few handouts with pictures outlining the personality of cats and different ways to interact with them. My 6 year old loved these! The facility is clean and updated.

I have to say it was a seamless experience. However, it would be wrong if I didn't recognize Doug. Doug spent nearly an hour with me going over all the dogs. Then helped me set up the appointment. His knowledge and love for these dogs is clearly evident. He made the experience for myself and daughter special. Thanks for everything Doug

I always love going there I got my first dog there a beautiful Saint Bernard. Just went to look but it was kind of empty because they were expecting a truckload to come in so I'll go back again another time. Employees were extremely helpful.

Adopted Bertha! 10 yr old love bug! Wish I'd found this place sooner. Much less fuss than other shelters I tried. Good experience all around.

if you’re looking for a animal come here. I went to about 8 different shelters and all the cats were $300-500 like places we’re actually making it hard to adopt UNTIL I came here. The prices are exactly what they should be and the staff was kind & helpful!!! I adopted this little fur ball her names cannoli.

Tried to adopt a dog named Paco 3 months ago, they don’t answer, tell you to wait and leave the dog sitting there alone with no family. No care for the people or the dog, they think he is better fit for a cage and 2 feet of space I guess?Added: I would also like to point out, they don’t give you any update or tell you why or if the application is unapproved. The staff acts like you’re a bother because you actually care about the animal. The animals at this center are just product to the workers. They don’t genuinely care if these pets find a good home!

to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.” what a complete lie . I went with my dying dog they wouldn't even allow me because they said there not taking any more walk ins because there about to close . An outraged customer stood up and yelled at the vet tech also offered her seat for me and they still said there's nothing they can do !! That was the worst day of my life , my dog also passed away that night when this was a preventative procedure she would still be with me today . If they would have just even had a vet come out to say something but they wouldn't even allow that ..

I love volunteering here. It's such a fulfilling feeling to walk these dogs and see how they light up on their walks. This beats going to the gym any day

Back in July 2022, I had to go live in a homeless shelter because my landlord sold the house and new owners wanted us out, this shelter does not accept animal's, I had 2 cat's and 2 chihuahua's mother and son, I had to surrender my cat's, something I never wanted to do and for the dog'sI called the SPCA and they told me they could house them for me so I took them there and they said they can't be there for a long time because that's no life for an animal to be locked in a cage all day, well I felt like I lost my children, it took some time for me to get it, missing them depressed but I was thankful for the SPCA,the time came when a a case manager at the shelter found an apartment and myself and my family moved out of the shelter on October 3rd 2022, we got settled in and called the SPCA to inform them that I have an apartment and I will be in to pick up the dog's, I can't thank all the workers enough for keeping my dog's safe for me, I will always be grateful.
