This post office is fantastic. Super clean. Very friendly staff. The hours on this google post are incorrect. They are open later than that.

With this being the only USPS downtown near my apartment, I was expecting a more convenient and professional experience. Today I went in to ship two boxes. I was told by the U.S Marshal that he needed to stamp my boxes before shipping. I went into to label my boxes and was told by the worker, she was unable to ship my boxes because the U.S Marshal was available to stamp. I informed her that he in fact gave me instructions and told me he would stamp my boxes. The USPS worker continued to explain she can not ship my boxes because it’s not stamped. I go back to the U.S Marshal who stamp my boxes and ensure me I won’t have any issues. I returned to the USPS worker and she continued to say she was unable to ship my boxes, although they were already stamped. She continued to state her manager yolks her not to but the manager was unavailable to confirm said orders. While walking out of the door, the USPS and the U.S Marshal were laughing at the entire situation This woman identified herself as the supervisor, when I ask to speak to a supervisor. A number to contact the manager was provided. Not only was this an inconvenience but they were also unprofessional. The two companies need to get on the same accord and to avoid inconvenience customers.

I came to this post office to ship mail to Norway. I wrote the correct address on both the envelopes and the customs declaration form. However, instead of the correct address, the clerk set this mail ship to China. And when I saw the FALSE country on my receipt and called them, they say they cannot make any changes to it. I can only wait for it to be returned to me. And they don't know how long will take it to return.

Had an above and beyond experience at this post office. Clerk explained various options to us and was kind and helpful. One of the better experiences at a Post Office in recent memory. Great experience.

They are doing some remodeling.... As you walk into the main hall, you will see all windows closed. You have to walk all the way to the right side of the building to find the post office clerks. Sometimes, it is lightly staffed so you might have to wait in line for a bit, but otherwise, it's convenient to downtown.

It's always a challenge to go to a US Postal Service Post Office in person. Every branch has long and slow moving lines. Federal policy doesn't always make sense (as an example, twice I've had a package not be delivered by the guaranteed delivery date - one was TWO WEEKS late - only to be told that they could absolutely confirm non-delivery, but couldn't refund my shipping costs until the thing was actually delivered. What? Why?!); still, the hard working staff at this branch try always to be polite and responsive to the customer, despite never looking happy to be working there themselves. The main PO branch in RI, the structure was once the fanciest and most technologically advanced facility in the USA. Now, for the entire fourth quarter of 2019, the aging facility is getting a facelift. The counter staff are plugging away in very tight corners with less personal space, still doing their jobs serving customer after customer for hours on end. They advise about the best and cheapest way to get something from here to there, take passport photos, and sell stamps as if it's just another day for them. This is a far better spot than the Thayer Street branch. The hours are longer too. As Post Office branches go, this is a more convenient and friendlier spot than even my local city branch (no bulletproof glass between me and the staff that makes it hard to communicate), and there's a parking lot. But, don't think about trying to call them for information!

Been happy here in the past. One of the staff today smelled like pot - she said it was medical marijuana. The moment I commented on this her co-worker then told me it would be $55 dollars to ship my package (one book). Guess what I shipped it for: 7.99 with Amazon instead. Funnily enough I'm all for pot legalization.

This isn't a service that can screw up... I came home from work today and I have all of 22 Rome Ave mail in my box... I don't live at 22 Rome Ave... So I bring that mail to it's proper house and ask if they have my mail, nope is the response I get... I try to call the post office in my town and they tell me they don't send out carriers from there, call the main office in Providence... Good luck with that... No answer, no answer, so call the 800 number... 56 minute wait to talk to someone in Oklahoma... Worthless garbage.. Down right stupidity... 100% incompetence... I'm saying no to all the above, stealing is probably more like it... I'm sure the carrier seen a Christmas card or two and figured he/she needed whatever was in it more than I did... So then they pocket the Christmas cards, put the wrong mail in the box, toss the rest of my mail, and home free... Thank you United States Postal Service... I hope you choke on what you stole..
