Ray was very helpful and patient while I tried on several pairs of shoes! It’s great to have someone take the time to understand what your running needs/goals are. I appreciate how he was able to watch my walk/jog and address any concerns he saw to help prevent injury and focus on a shoe that would work best for me.

Just had a great experience at Rhode Runner! I needed a new pair of sneakers and Jay was such a big help finding the right pair. His experience made it so the whole trip only took trying three pairs before I found the winners. Really helpful and I appreciated the advice!

This is a fabulous store, with an absolute horror show of a parking lot (which requires backing out onto busy North Main Street). I'm definitely not a runner and neither is my husband, but if we're looking for quality sneakers that we know will actually fit, this is the place we buy them. Each member of the staff asks questions, listens, and will both measure your feet and watch as you walk on the track for them to observe your gait and the kind of support you'll want in a shoe. There's a modest clothing selection, geared of course toward what's beneficial for runners. Some ancillary items like running gels, headlights, etc can also be purchased. While there are generally a small number of items on sale, including occasionally shoes at up to 40% off, be prepared to spend up to $200 for a name brand quality product.

Rhode Runner is a Rhode Island gem. Patrick had great expertise and in depth knowledge of shoes related to my specific needs (plantar fasciitis, high arches). Shop local!

This store is great but it's the staff who make this place spectacular! I was looking for a particular Hoka shoe to help my tired nurse feet. When we walked through the door we were greeted by Patrick. He helped me with the shoes I was looking for. He is so good he knew I needed a wide before I said anything. I live in Massachusetts and will make the trip to this place next time I need Hokas because of Patrick and his exceptional service.

Best running store ever! Pat took care of us and was very helpful and knowledgeable. My daughter runs cross country and he set us up with a great pair of running shoes and racing flats for a great deal. Check out this store! They ROCK!

Had a phenomenal experience here today buying my mom a great pair of shoes for Mother’s Day. We were greeted by Alex who was very knowledgeable and incredibly kind throughout the whole process. He gave her many options and even gave me advice for future purchases. Could not recommend this place enough, learned a great bit about arch support and my mom is very happy with her new shoes. If you want to make sure you’re making the best decision for yourself regarding shoes, and not feel pressured to buy in the slightest, check these guys out!

Really enjoyed my shoe buying experience at Rhode Runner. The store was recommended by my podiatrist who suggested a particular type of running shoe for my issues with foot pain. I tried on about six or seven pairs with a very helpful salesperson who measured my feet, assessed the fit and asked me to walk a bit in each pair. I found a pair I loved that looked stylish and also fit my podiatrist's recommendations. They were $160, which is more than I have ever spent on sneakers, but after wearing them for several weeks, they have helped greatly reduce my foot pain. I also purchased a pair of Oofos recovery sandals, which at almost $75 are the most expensive sandals I've ever purchased, but they are very comfortable and I'm completely converted to the Oofos brand. The Yelp offer for $20 helped offset the total but although my feet don't hurt as much, my wallet is still recovering. Not to suggest that their prices are unreasonable- prices are similar online- but just a caveat that you should know you'll probably drop a lot of cash here. The personalized service does help justify the cost.

Great place, amazing service.I have been struggling to find a perfect shoes that doesn't hurt my feet.Alex took a lot of time ,measure the foot ,consulted very well on picking the right shoes and was very patient.Will definately go there again for my future buys.
