Dave does quality work and usually turns it around quite quickly; he's changed many of my watch straps and batteries on the spot at a fair price. He's always honest about whether your jewelry or watch can be fixed or not, and offers options. People say he's gruff - he's not the chattiest but he's always been courteous and treats your pieces with care. Just make sure you call ahead and see if he's in. His actual hours only kind of overlap with the indicated hours.

Directed to Norm's, as "they", did not carry the antique jewelry I wanted to purchase; he produced 2 must haves: One which he was begrudgingly "inspired" to personally select a band for. So politely odd was the exchange that: 1) I Only realized his name was on the building after asking him 2X...2) In 2023, a business owner took merchandise in his store from me, asked me to wait a few min and miraculously returned with said object repaired for FREE!!! **I Do~LUV RI

Does great work. Brought in many watches..Some needed repair others just batteries.. Fair prices..Limited hours, but, that is his prerogative I think. Nice selection of jewelry.

The owner of this business is very disrespectful, discourteous. Completely unprofessional. I called and talk to him on the phone and told him all the things that I needed him to do and he told me he could when I went there the second he saw me and I asked for the same things he told me he could do on the phone he said he couldn’t fix the ring and that he doesn’t know when I would be able to pick up the watch. He said he doesn’t know what other client he will have after me, like if I come first I am not suppose to be in front of these other customers. And he was like I can’t believe I need to explain myself to you, literally yelling at me. I am not one to make a scene so I took my stuff and I left. This experience left me with the impression that his refusal of services was based purely on my appearance. Don’t waste your time going there

I stopped giving my business to Norms Jewelry because: (This decision is LONG overdue.Poor Hours of Operations: 1 PM - 5 PM. ( don't most of us work during this time?)Poor Store Condition: Empty boxes strewn everywhere, dirty, outdated design.Poor Customer Service: The owner acts as if he is doing you a favor versus the other way around. Poor attitude & lacks any social etiquette or customer service skills.

I had two bracelets resized here and they did good work- even adjusting after I wore one bracelet for awhile and found it was still not fitting as well as I liked. They also buy silver and gold. Definitely recommend calling before heading over to confirm the hours.

I have used "Norm's" during the past year to repair many pieces of 18K jewelry (18K gold is soft and easily damaged). Dave (the store is named after his father) is an expert jeweler and does a lot of contract work for other jewelers (who sell but don't have the expertise to do repairs.) I also took a watch that hadn't worked for quite a long time to "Norm's". Dave put in a new battery, but after one day the watch stopped working. I returned to the store, and Dave suggested that I have the watch cleaned at a cost of approximately $60.00 - with the caveat that if the watch still didn't work, I wouldn't be charged for his labor. The cleaning was all the watch needed to be put in working order. I have other friends that go to "Norm's" for jewelry and antique silver repair/polishing. One Yelp reviewer wrote that Norm (really Dave) was a glum guy. That made me laugh because he does come across that way. In fact, he is very low key and never going to greet you with a big smile. But, if you are looking for a competent and honest jeweler, I would recommend "Norm's" without hesitation. Finally, never go to Norm's without checking first to see if the store is actually open. As I commented to Dave one day, his advertised hours of operation seem to be just an approximation of when he might be there. He agreed with me. His telephone number: (401) 351- 3398.

Often not on time to even open his shop given the hours listed on his own store door. Who wants to wait (sometimes an hour!) for him to finally arrive that late? He also has a dour, even prickly, personality that gives the customer the impression he's exasperated and doing you a favor just to take your minor watch job. It's as though its too much of an unpleasant chore for him, though he will quickly take your money when his few minutes work are finished.
