I’m giving 3 stars because I’ve had better experiences in the past. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. I can’t wait to remove these nails, which is frustrating because I got them done for an important photographed event. I showed an inspiration picture, but the nail technician was reluctant to match the colors. Additionally, the shape of the nails isn’t what I expected, very thick.

Never again. During my time there, I struggled with my manicurist. I felt like she was pushing me into stuff that I did not want, but I just went with the flow. I felt like I was bothering her just by asking standard questions. I just didn’t like how I felt there. But I just chalked it up to being new to the area. The real problem came when my manicure only lasted for a few hours. I went here on a Saturday afternoon by Saturday evening my nails were already chipped. This was a hard gel manicure. I can keep a hard gel manicure for easily 4-6 weeks without zero chipping. My secret is using gloves washing dishes or cleaning the house.
I returned on Sunday and they fixed it for me. It did take awhile given it was busy. The owner was nice about it which I appreciated and why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. It was just very inconvenient to return to get a nail fixed less than 24 hours.
My biggest issue is when I went to another salon to get my nails done again it’s clear the hard gel product they use at Metro is not high quality. It felt more like acrylic than a hard gel. I won’t be returning.

so dirty and absolutely disgusting. techs can't even keep track of their own prices, and upcharged horribly. got a pedicure and they massaged my legs with cuticle lotion. can't even trim nails straight. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

My experience at Metro Nails for a gel mani-pedi was extremely disappointing. When I got home and looked closely at my nails, I saw that my nail tech had neglected to paint the edges and bottom of my nails. She also did not push back my cuticles properly. Consequently, my nails look in need of a fill after less than a week. Additionally, after two days, the polish on one of my toes came off completely. I will not be returning.

I just went to Metro Nails yesterday and was so impressed by the care and effort that they took to paint my nails. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. They also took off my existing gel and the total was $70 includong tip. My nail tech Sovattey is a slay!

The Metro Nails’ team is terrific. They are friendly, kind and good at what they do. I always leave with pretty nails and a smile on my face. The space is clean, they have all of the colors to choose from, and they take walk-ins, but I always call ahead for an appointment (most often same day). They are fairly priced, with an a la cart menu to choose from. I always get gel on my toes so I can put my shoes on and leave without sitting under the dryer. Bring cash or use Venmo for tipping. There is an ATM on site if you have to grab cash. This is not a tranquil spa experience, this is a get in and get out, but mostly a get your nails done right experience.

Metro nails has been my go to nail salon for the past two years. I appreciate the system they have of booking an appointment on the phone and being seen immediately when at the salon. I always get a regular pedicure and I go once a month. Everyone at the salon is very nice, the place is clean and their prices are accommodating. I really appreciate that they don’t push services on you which I have experienced at other nail salons. Even though I get regular polish for my toes they have never chipped, I am honestly surprised at how long they last. Highly recommend

I've been to multiple nail salons in the area since moving to Rhode Island, and metro nails is now my favorite. The vibe is very no frills, which I appreciate. They offer a wide variety of services, and I was able to get a same day appointment. My nail tech, Rohr, gave me exactly what I asked for. She was able to fix a bad set I got at a different salon, shaving them down where they were too thick and uneven, and reshaping them to give me the shape I wanted. I will definitely be coming back.

Metro is by far one of my favorite salons. They are very friendly and did my nails exactly like my pinterest photo, lol. Highly recommend.

Awful service. The manicurist cut the cuticle skin and I had to ask her to stop as I was bleeding. To my surprise, her response was that’s how a good manicure is done. Please go to a different salon unless you want a bacterial infection.

I have been going here to get a dip manicure for a couple years. I have gotten some bad manicures over the years but lately it's mire common. Today may be my breaking point. The manicurist was very rough. Several cuts on my hands. I had the dip powder all over my hands. At the end she didn't do a massage or oil treatment and used the hot towel herself to warm up her hands. Last chance. Looking for a new place.
